We chose Naan and ordered some chips as an extra. The food arrived on time and was hot and fresh. The Samosas were nice and crisp and the Naan was gorgeous as was the Tandoori Chicken Tikka. I checked multiple times and it wasn't like they were understaffed... rather they had like 10 people preparing food, 2-3 people chilling back behind that counter, and like 4-5 waiters for about 20-25 tables... so I don't understand how they can ghost. Maybe if eaten with naan, it would balance out the seasoning, but eating it with rice, did not. If you're a fan of ginger, this has a few bits and pieces big enough for you to chew on and appreciate. The Sultan is one of the best Indian restaurants anywhere IMHO. The aroma of authentic Indian cuisine greats you as you enter the Sultan. My all-time favorite dish here is the Lamb Vindaloo (5/5 £13.35) -- a fiery, spicy curry with tender lamb. I enjoy it with a side of Corriander Naan (5/5 £3.85) and some Mango Lassi. Located in a former Methodist church, the Sultan has kept many of the church's features in the dining room, which contribute to the atmosphere. It also does not serve alcohol, but there's a pub nearby for a pint before dinner. The staff has always been welcoming, friendly and attentive.
