We had to wait a bit to get seated as it was fairly crowded, which is understandable if this is the only place that was still open at this time of night. Service was kind of spotty. For the duration of our meal, we had 2 different servers, it seemed. Once the food did arrive, though, it was plentiful and quite tasty. The kitchen staff actually delivered our entrees to our table, which was a nice touch, though unnecessary as they wheeled the food out in carts that had to be lifted up stairs in order to reach certain parts of the restaurant. We had papadums to start as well as an order of the garlic mushrooms. Both items were good and they had quite a nice spread of various sauces and chutneys. For our mains, I had the chili paneer and the bf got the lamb balti. We shared an order of the steamed rice and a garlic and coriander naan. The bf also got a mojito, which was pretty good. The food was all quite good and we were more than satisfied by the meal. However, service kind of grinded to a halt by the time we were ready to leave. We waited a good 20 minutes or so before our server brought us our bill and then we ended up leaving without ever getting our change. Yes, it was just a few pounds that were never returned to us, but the U.K. isn't exactly known to have a tipping culture and we didn't really feel that the service was deserving of a tip.

We use this takeaway all the time now as it still remains good value for money since the food is really nice. We get prawn toast and BBQ ribs as starters and find that from some takeaways the prawn toast is covered in grease, but that is not the case here and the sauce for the BBQ ribs is gorgeous. Our meals arrive hot and the delivery staff are nice and pleasant. I would definately recommend this place to anyone areound the penwortham area and even up towards tarleton.

Bad language, slamming dishes, snapping whenever we ordered anything, ranting behind the counter and countering everything with a rude sarcastic remark... it was like something you would only see on TV, so that fact that this was happening in real life just bewildered me and my friends. One of my Thai friends was a regular and knew the manager who was very nice. She apologised to us a lot and removed the service charge (as we were a group of twelve).
