Great prices on seasonal products, in this case it was Halloween and they have a boat load of items from kids costumes to decorations. Cookware is reasonably priced depending on what you are looking for and home and bath decor I guess varies from store to store as they have products from New Orleans masks to Roman stell armour. The Winners side has good baby clothes and toys, gadgets for the tech junkie, and womens clothing, lots of womens clothing. The space is fairly small but somehow they manage to cram in all the comics, board games, and geeky paraphernalia you could want on the shelves while still being browsable, and if for some reason they don't have something, the staff here are always happy to order it for you. In fact, the staff are what I miss the most about this store. Every single one of their employees does a great job making their customers feel comfortable and welcome, something that unfortunately doesn't always happen in comic shops. They know all of their regular customers by name and are quick to recommend new titles based on their interests. They're also always quick to rectify any potential situation. Once I had a comic come in with a tiny (very tiny) tear on it and they insisted on giving it to me for free. I probably wouldn't have noticed if they hadn't pointed it out and it really wasn't a big deal to me. That above and beyond attitude is rare and I very much appreciated it.

However, the thing this location really excels in is customer service. The staff here are great at identifying the difference between browsing and hopelessly lost. Today I was looking for supplies for a craft that took me all over the store and I had not one, not two, but three different staff members help me find what I needed. Seriously impressed. The same goes for checkout: the staff are always helpful with coupons and suggestions. I've never had anything but great service here. The reason for 4 stars rather than 5? Mostly corporate issues that I understand this location can't change. Michaels is terrible for making you feel ripped off with their constant coupons. Obviously everything is incredibly marked up. NEVER go there without a coupon. They almost always have one for at least 40% off a single item. Sometimes they even have ones that cover your whole transaction.
