This is an unassuming place inside Valley Marketplace supermarket that needs to become more popular knowing how much effort Ms. Ahn, the owner puts into it and how good her drinks and toppings are. I come here at least once a week and have discovered so much from chatting with Ms. Ahn while she makes my drinks. The strawberry lemonade with jelly is my absolute favorite out of everything I have tried here. The love she puts in this drink deserves 10 stars. No preservatives on this at all. She slices her strawberries, makes the strawberry syrup/puree she mixes it with, squeezes the lemon juice from her tree at home and it even comes with an edible lemon rind that she had cured. I also found out that she makes her own jelly and it shows in how good it is. I also like the Vietnamese coffee or the tiger milk tea with boba when I need a pick-me-up to help me power through a busy day. I love this little stand!!! I've never had a drink I didn't like, and the boba is always soft with the perfect chewy consistency. The shop owner is a super nice lady, and I like looking through the books in the little free library. I come here 1-2 times a week and it's always one of the best parts of my week! I was introduced to place a few weeks ago with a "you got to try this" all the way from Redondo beach. It was tasty. On the next adventure to the Santa Clarita area and after eating at nearby Sabor I had stopped in for a visit on Saturday to find this cozy small business inside the market. They the menu is what you expect at boba places and noticed an item that was not familiar to me. The owner Anh explained what it was and I thought it was the famous Filipino desert drink. Very friendly conversation and could tell they pride themselves on their products. Pictures below is the Taro and did also try Jasmine and regular milk tea. All refreshing. There's a few big name boba places in the area that are popular but I suggest you stop by and visit. I'm looking forward to coming back and chatting with Anh and getting a fresh drink. Hidden gem!!! This place is in the Valley Market place. It's right in front of the super market register. I came to this market to pick up my Kabob from Sofreh. And I saw the cute menu board in front of the market, so I gave it a try!! And It was amazingly yummy The drinks here were not too sweet...but deliciously sweet!!! I got to try the iced mocha with boba . There are milk alternatives like almond milk and coconut milk. I got mine with almond milk. Boba was a cute size. It was a little bit smaller than regular boba. It had good softness that gave a bouncy chewy texture! I love it. I asked for less sweet, so the owner recommended not to add on any sweetness since the mocha powder already has some sweet in it. My drink came out perfectly for my pallet... The second drink I got to try was Calamansi..It is in season right now. Calamansi is a citrus hybrid (like Kamquat+citrus) from Asia, especially from Philippines. It was sour and sweet..more towards the sour side. It was very refreshing. I got it with Lychee jelly...omg it was really good together! If you are Lemonade fan, for sure you would love this drink. I saw the vegan cake menu and that sounded delicious but it was sold out already. If you are vegan, you can get your sweets here. I recommend to come early because they make a small batch each day. We came here from LA just to try the Ice Scramble. We got there before 6pm 5:56pm to be exact. And the lady who was just sitting inside the store and using her cell phone said the store was close but the sign said they close at 6:30pm. It looks like the lady was just killing time or don't feel like working. So I told her that they should change their sign, but the lady just rolled her eyes on me. We're big fans and regular customers at Ding Tea and Gong Cha, two of the best boba places in the valley, but this may be my favorite. Everything is super fresh, the boba is a little smaller and perfectly chewy. Just a heads up, it's inside Valley Marketplace near the front cash registers. But the thing I love about this place is a) the service and b) that the drinks aren't overly sweet. Can't tell you how many times my drinks at other places (including the above mentioned) were so sweet I had to water it down at home, or order 25% or 0% sugar. Here, I've ordered both the Milk Tea and the Strawberry Milk Tea, and both were perfectly sweet (or not overly sweet). The strawberry milk tea was not syrupy and tasted like they used fresh strawberries. I ordered less sweet, and they were sweet enough (pun intended) to let me know that their drinks were not overly sweet and recommended full sweet- but of course I ordered 50%. It was perfect for us (we're really watching our sugar intake) but 100% would be perfectly fine for most. Gong Cha is crazy sweet (like drinking syrup) and so is Ding- so my order is usually 25%. My wife and I will be regulars, especially since now we feel comfortable trying different things on the menu knowing we won't be drinking pure sugar. read more
