Definitely found the right one! This was a magical experience. The hotel is beautiful, and just screams luxury. I checked in early, because I wanted to have some extra time in the wet areas, and not feel rushed. Everyone was friendly, and I was greeted with a robe, flip flops, and a locker to place my items. The pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub, and cold plunge were all fantastic additions to prepare me for my massage. The massage was wonderful (it was a guy, which at first made me nervous but turned out great), and I left feeling completely relaxed. I did mine in the evening, which was perfect because I was able to shower and go straight to bed! My only complaint would be that it was quite warm in there, so I did sweat, but who doesn't want all the toxins out of your body?! Especially after all the lovely wine and mead on my vacation! No pics as cameras are not allowed!

We got there an hour early to enjoy the myriad of features they had before the massage. In the women's only locker there was a cold plunge, waterfall shower, and sauna. In the co-ed shared space there was a small indoor pool, a room which seemed like a giant jacuzzi, and a steam room. After using all the amenities, we had a wonderful 90 minute Swedish Massage upstairs in their treatment rooms. Fantastic massage and a must while in Stockholm.

I used the one upstairs and it was very nice and tidy. The showers were clean with touch-free sensors to trigger the water stream. On street level they have a set of cardio machines, some free weights and space + equipment for HIIT! Minus points for the oversized "crossfit" barbell weights. There are specially designed sinks for filling water bottles and drinking, making it virtually impossible to spill water. Downstairs are more machines, a little lounge area (for people waiting to enter the huge aerobics room, I assume) and more dumbbells. The staff by the front desk were nice and helpful. I miss more squat racks and benches, but all in all it's a very nice gym!

They offer personal training and rehab services as well. Some hours of the days there are babysitters available to take care of children while the parents work out. The membership rate is rather high, but walk-ins are much more expensive. WIth a membership that covers all the Stockholm gyms in the chain you have a pretty good deal in my opinion.

A specialist visit costs just 300 SEK, and once you get up to a certain amount, something like 1200, everything after that is free for the remainder of the one-year period. Aaand, guess what? This physical therapy location is partnered with the city so that it's not private like many clinics. You can go here for just 100 SEK a visit, or if you have the 'free card' (frikort) from enough visits to the doctor, then it's free. You don't even need a referral from another doctor - you can just go ahead and book an appointment. You can book the appointment online, through Mina Vårdkontakter (My Health Contacts) if you have a Swedish person number. You don't have to wait very long either - I was able to book an appointment two weeks away. All of their personnel are listed online, so you can even read about their experience and choose the one that sounds right for you. I dance a lot and wanted someone who would understand the specific issues which come with that, so I looked online and found Jessica, whose profile stated that she had dance experience. Perfect! I met with Jessica once approximately every two weeks for a certain problem, and when that was fixed, I brought up another issue I had - and she helped me with that as well! I have found the staff at Fysiocenter Odenplan to be very friendly, very personal, and very knowledgeable. Not only did Jessica help me to address and fix the pains I have had for a long time; she also taught me why it was that way, and taught me a lot about my own body. The office itself is located way up near the top of the building, and the views are incredible - so that's a plus too!
