It's a grocery store, with salad and soup bar, and order sandwiches. I just wanted soup, Naan bread & Hummus. Hubby wanted to order his own sandwich. He got BLT. I've already found a table, but it's not a restaurant, more like where employees go for breaks. Hubby, on the other hand walked back to pay for our food, and to order his BLT, and go back when it's ready, and there are no utensils where there are tables, so he had to walk back there again. By the time, he's ready to sit down with me to eat, I'm halfway done! His BLt is still dripping grease, and he had to have strong teeth to bite the meat off his sandwich. They didn't look fresh, it was leathery & greasy! Part gray, part white. That's NOT bacon! I'm glad I didn't get that. My soup was just OK. I did enjoyed my Naan & Hummus. This is December 31, 2023…read more* Woodburn Mega Foods has all the basic staples available in most grocery stores plus many items and brands needed for authentic European and Mexican cooking not found at Safeway or Walmart. * The parking lot is in excellent shape with parking spaces clearly marked and clean. * The produce department, deli and bakery look great and have a wide selection with many options not available anywhere else in the Woodburn area. * The shortage of cashiers currently does not seem to be a problem generally. There can be lines during peak times but the cashiers work steadily to get people checked out quickly. * There is a self checkout section with a person available to help with any problem. * Most of the cashiers speak English and Spanish and are friendly to everyone. As for the cashiers not being particularly chatty - I value getting in and out of the grocery store quickly. In fact, it irritates me when things are held up by cashiers carrying on conversations with customers when there is a line. The store has the warehouse look, like Costco, and is clean, fresh, and usually well stocked. Like many stores today they may be out of something due to shipping delays but I normally can find everything I need. I wanted to let people know what Woodburn Mega Foods shopping is like now.

Most of the employees I talked to spoke perfect English until I mentioned that I got injured in their store and would like to talk to HR they all of a sudden don't speak English anymore. The guy in charge says their HR will call me but after I had to call them back days later he proceeded to tell me it's just him and they don't have an HR. I will be hiring a lawyer and I am in excruciating pain after surgery and having to do all of this is just ridiculous. DONT GO HERE. The meats are terrible the cake is old and dry with moldy fruit and the prices are insane and the employees and customers in this place are incredibly rude but that isn't why I'm writing this review. I don't even know where to start I'm so angry, on April 8th I tripped and fell leading to me breaking my foot in 4 places due to their negligence. There was clear packing tape all over their floor that my foot got caught in and I tripped. I am now going in for surgery on Monday morning to put titanium f*cking plates in my foot and if I don't do this surgery my quality of life will deteriorate I'm looking at a life long disability and I'm looking at a 6-12 month recovery time....my summer is gone all the trips I had planned are gone my independence is gone and my mental health is at an all time low. I have zero money to repair what these people have caused and I can't work. I now have to waste 6 months of my life in bed due to the negligence of these employees not to mention the sheer judgement I receive anytime I go to this store with friends. I received zero help when I fell all I got was employees staring at me like robots. I'm young and this put a HUGE dent in my life. I am fed up with the legal process the healthcare process and the lack of urgency, I've reached my limit when it comes to patience.

My 11 year old came home with her younger sister after being gone maybe 15 minutes to tell me that when they were in the store the worker accused her of stealing because 2 random other shoppers told her they were. My daughter (who is 11) while looking for her money had placed the item within her bag so her hands could be free. She's 11. And this overzealous employee searched my child's bag without a parent there, threatening to call the cops if they came back. My child came back traumatized because she was going to pay for the single candy item. Also, what child do you know that shoplifts and immediately goes and tells their parent. So I went there, with my kid, who a minimum wage retail worker thought was acceptable to search over what she presumed to be shoplifting, prior to any merchandise EVER leaving the store. I was met with this. I have an entire video of this lady screaming about how she swears my kids were stealing based off what 2 random customers said. No one ever explained to me though why my child's bag was searched. She admitted it when I was there, and stated it's company policy to lock the door on children who they suspect shoplifting. At this point my child's rights matter substantially more than a piece of candy. I'll be making further complaints to boli and the bbb.
