Overall, I like this store except for having to deal with the woman with too much makeup in the bakery. She is condescending and rude. She has no business dealing with the public. Acts like she hates her job! This is my go to store, but I am reluctant to ask for anything from the bakery. Things at this bakery are disappearing gradually and options are so limited here now. I went to this particular Safeway to get gluten free cupcakes for a celebration. Some of the people are gluten free for health reasons, not for trend. They did have gluten free cupcakes, but they were just nasty. They are extremely tiny (smaller than the normal tiny cupcakes) - made in condiment paper cups from the looks of them. Frosted but zero decorations of any kind. They exactly two kinds brown and not brown. Even the frosting was tan coloured. They didn't even look appetizing. There trays and trays of 'regular' cupcakes all decorated for a party. One tray had cupcakes with all different coloured frostings! I guess if you can't have gluten, you just get nasty looking, tiny cupcakes with tan frosting and nothing that says you are at a celebration. Why bother? read more

This is the best grocery store in the Rogue Valley. Big ups to the produce department, everything is fresh and well displayed and considering the quality, a bargain. Meat department is top notch, a few days ago a butcher helped me get a half dozen Cornish game hens and he hadn't even started his shift, and another carved up a standing rib roast , no charge! read more

They gave me rotten bananas over ripe avocados. Two Shallots for 99 cent each that was as small as a quarter and a red onion That looks like it gave birth not to mention the portion of the chicken for the price. Very disappointed with their Pick up service. Forgot to include my tortillas and only gave me 1 loaf of bread on a buy one get one. I feel as though they choose the worst possible produce and give it to me. They don't shop as if they were shopping for themselves, which that is how they should shop.. read more

I've been here many times in the last few months, and I have to say I love this Safeway. First off, kudos to the management for offering a nice selection of excellent deals each and every time I've been there. Safeway is a pretty expensive store overall, but they always have great sales going, so if you are frugal like I am, just stick to the good deals! Since this place is the closest supermarket to where I live, its nice that its a great go-to type place. Its a smaller store, but I usually prefer that to the giant superstores, easier to navigate and pick up stuff quickly. read more

1. The entrance to the store is disgusting and dirty. The garbage can is always overflowing. 2. The inside of the floor is filthy. This includes the floor. 3. Service is non-existent. 4. Workers enforce masks yet wear them below their noses at times. A cashier lowered her mas, sneezed into her hand then continued to ring up items without washing her hands. 5. Safeway employees sit in front of the store and smoke while on break. You have no choice but to walk through their smoke clouds upon entering and exiting the store. Overall, the store is filthy inside and out. The service is awful. You are exposed to second hand smoke by their employees. They have a serious hygiene issues in regards to Covid. read more

This Safeway is always fully stocked and the employees here are always very nice! The selection in general is quite wide and very organized. Even the people that shop here are pleasant compared to other locations. The cashiers are always smiling and inquire about my day (even if they are told to do so lol) and stay engaged in the conversation with me until I am finished checking out. I definitely enjoy shopping here over any other location! read more

I'm from California but come here often to visit family. This Safeway had a lot of meat, which is awesome. They have a really small organic produce section, which is lame. On my last visit I asked the cashier for $20 cash back in dollar bills. She was super nice , friendly, and accommodating. Didn't roll her eyes or anything for taking a bunch of her ones. All in all, the store is big and has a great variety. They are a bit more expensive because it's Safeway but this store seems better than any other option around. read more

This has to be the worst grocery store in town. Besides it being small and crowded. The employees are among the rudest I have ever dealt with especially the fat cow in the customer service booth. Every time I have been standing at the window she totally blows customers off and continues to input data in her computer. If her job is data input then get her out of customer service but if her job is customer service then take out the computer and make her do her job which is HELPING CUSTOMERS. Weird experience just now. The Checker guy was having a conversation with the lady in front of us in line which was nice, but the little guy behind us was crowding up on my teenage daughter, so I physically put myself between the old guy and my child. So the old guy slammed his stuff down on the conveyor and proceeded to crowd himself up against me. Rather than resort to violence, I ignored, but somehow this gave the checker guy bad vibes or something against ME and he refused to even speak or look at me. Instead he struck up a friendly conversation with the old pervert behind me. When my transaction was done, the checker dude practically threw my receipts at me. It leaves me feeling frozen inside that men will stick together even in a public place when women and girls are harassed or molested. Have a nice day. Do a favor for me and just punch any old guy trying to cop a feel on your daughters, because doing the right thing doesn't pay. read more

Horrible customer service. Pricing missing or improperly marked and they won't provide the price on the shelf. Created a huge scene. Embarrassed me because they chose to give me a hard time over their mistake! I will never ever shop these stores again. The one has ruined me for all or their stores. read more

This store is a big improvement over the 7th and G street Safeway......it's in a nicer location, it's got a bigger, better deli, and parking is much better. Unlike the other store, most of the customers don't appear to be substance abusers or criminals. The store is better stocked, laid out more logically, just better all the way around! read more

I have not been in this store personally, but Raquel in the bakery went above and beyond to help me order a birthday cake for my uncle who lives there. She got it handled with her manager, called me back when she said she would, and had it ready when his co-worker arrived to pick it. Pictures show it turned out great too! read more

5 Stars for the very nice people who work here. I marked down 1 star because the store is small and its crowded. BUT it's crowded for a very good reason. They have a great selection of products at a good price. Where this store really shines is with its personnel and their continuing habit of treating customers very nicely. Today, I went in and they were singing Happy Birthday to a customer while she was in the check-out stand. It made me feel happy that I chose to shop there. One day last summer there was an employee who was passing out fresh cookies and bottled water to the people waiting to pay. It was great! The lines weren't that long, but it was a nice way of telling the customers that they were appreciated. That, along with helpful veggie, meat, and bakery people (I've never ordered anything from the deli) and you leave in a pleasant and happy mood. The manager of this branch is doing a great job! read more
