The vibrant colors of the tomatoes and leafy greens were a nice way to start the morning. Sis needed some allergy medication and not only did they have a generic version of Claritin, it was for a scandalously cheap price, under $3. What is this? They have souvenir cookingware up front and I was as pleased as punch with this store. We'll ddefinitely be stopping in again the next time we're in town.

The aisles are much narrower than normal. Because of that all of the aisle stacks should be eliminated. They impede traffic flow and the customers hate them. Furthermore, they hurt the sales of the product on the shelves behind them. During my tenure in the Portland Division we eliminated aisle stacks in all of our 103 stores. We also had a rule that two baskarts must be able to pass with ease any place in the store. 2. Because of the narrow aisles more stocking should be done at night. It's now a constant battle to get around them as they block aisle after aisle, especially in the cheese aisle. 3. This store has a much larger than normal employee turnover. WHY? I've been told that help is hard to recruit in Anacortes. However, I see other businesses with very low turnover.

Then an older gentleman said we can make Tuna on white bread if you like. We didn't even notice the sandwich counter. What a great concept. The lady who made our sandwich took real pride in making what we wanted. We will definitely stop by Safeway on our road trip for a quick picnic lunch.

We enjoyed the almond puffs the most then the blackberry cobbler muffin- the rhubarb and white chocolate strawberry don't have much flavor but tasted sweet. The snickers and chocolate almond poppyseed were just too sweet for my tastes- the almond extract in the poppyseed muffin was overpowering. They do have a bathroom for customers, an area to sit and eat plus a bunch of wine and other items for sale. We got a punch card- 12 muffins purchased gives you a free muffin. Not sure if we will be back that way but figured we were almost halfway to getting that free muffin so why not!

I was purchasing four Prime drinks at $2.39 each. When this old lady rang us up, the total came out to more than $15.00. I stopped her and said wait, please check the price. The old lady then began yelling at me. After some explanation and reasoning, she addressed the issue and rang us up correctly. As the person running a register, if you don't know that four items at $2.39 each is less than $10, I know why you've been Rosario for 10 years! You couldn't work anywhere else. I will never set foot in Rosario Market again.

We come here for Dungeness crab. Shrimp are small but good. We usually drive to Deception Pass State Park, find a table, and eat our seafood there. We bring our usual party utensils, seafood tools, gloves, and rice. Make sure you check the Jet Carrier Training Schedule. It can get really loud if you don't time it right.

As you may know, a meal is NOT complete without dessert!! This "Mom and Pop" convenience store is nicer than most chain convenience stores that I have frequented. Harold's Corner Market was nice and clean inside. The merchandise was fully stocked and well-organized. Most importantly, the customer service was welcoming and courteous. After browsing, we found some ice cream bars to try. They seemed to be a locally made brand named Whidbey Island. Those ice cream bars were delicious!! Prices were reasonable too. Actually while browsing the store, it seemed that all the merchandise was fairly priced (even the gasoline). Even though they are located right next to the highway....I did not get the sense that prices would be considered "highway robbery". If I lived in this area, I'd be a regular for sure.
