As one should on their first visit, she-who-must-be-obeyed and I ordered cod fish and chips. My partner ordered coleslaw whilst I requested clam chowder. The coleslaw had a bit too much mayonnaise for this reviewers taste buds but was still a tasty dressing recipe and far better than that served at Bennett's Fish Shack. The clam chowder was very tasty and far ahead of the chowder served at Bennett's. Finally, the fish and chips were wonderful. The fish was fresh, breading light and fried to near perfection. The chips are dredged in flour before frying and yield a great chip. We enjoyed our noon meal on the deck under blue and sunny skies. Yes, the road noise on nearby bridge was at times annoying but not so much to put us off our meal or the ambiance of an unpretentious eatery. When next we desire fish and chips we will take the 30-minute drive from our new Ocean Shores' home and recommend you do same irrespective of your starting point.
