I need to take an in person class for my job, and the blended CPR/First Aid class was the perfect option in these COVID times. The bulk of the learning is done online. The online portion is completed at your own pace before the start of the class. It doesn't take much time, maybe 2-3 hours if you really power through it. It consists of videos and "missions" that you need to complete. If you have taken CPR before, it is great review. The in person class covers the hands on stuff that can't be done online. For instance: practicing chest compressions, Heimlich maneuver , bandaging, and AED use. The class takes about 1.5 - 2 hours depending on the size of your class. Gabby was an awesome instructor who explained everything well. She kept the class engaged by asking us questions the entire time, and really made sure we understood everything before we finished the course. The certification card was sent out via email within a couple hours of finishing. Gabby also did a great job keeping everything safe with respect to COVID. Class sizes are limited. Chairs were six feet apart. She wore a mask the entire time she taught. The door was kept open the entire time for proper airflow. We each used our own mannequins, and didn't share any materials with others in the class. I've taken CPR classes every 1-2 years since 2007. Some classes covered way too much information (or the instructor would go off topic), and some classes were too "chill" with not enough teaching. This class at CPR and more was very professional, very informative, and very efficient!

We had about 12 people in our class, most of them taking the class as a requirement for their job (like me, too). We powered through all of the modules without breaks (we all agreed on this, of course) and were done an hour earlier! It will take you half a day to complete the course. You will do exercises (wrapping a bandage, CPR, AED operation and more tasks) but there is no written test for certification, just participation. My colleague and I walked out feeling more confident and equipped to handle situations that could arise at work (we deal with the public when we are open, so it is a requirement on our employer to take the class). I will sign up again when I have to re-certify in two years with this company.

This type of coursework is literally lifesaving but with the wrong instructor, it can easily be a snoozefest. Andrew is the opposite of that and you can tell he's quite passionate about teaching. He made sure to make everyone feel included and answered questions and addressed hesitations in material. I'm normally quiet in these types of classroom settings but I felt confident to ask questions and perform the exercises that were required. There is lack of communication and whenever we try to call the school, they dont pick up the phone! It takes days to actually have someone answer the phone! This was especially disappointing after my original admissions rep, John, had already failed to follow up for over two weeks after receiving my transcripts. Due to Covid, we did our training outside, masks on and socially distanced. I felt very safe during this training. When Heather arrived, she was dressed professionally. She shared with us that she is currently training to be an EMT. Her high energy level kept us all engaged, which is so important in a long training. I enjoyed learning a few new things, which after 32 years of bi-annual trainings is always a good thing! She offers a discount if you have 6 or more people in your group.
