Even a few week ago, I would have never ever considered taking a road test in Boston. But suddenly, I needed a license ASAP. I had some driving practice in the past (I had tried another auto school as well as by my parents) but driving had always been something that was hard and I was just not confident doing. I did some online searching and finally chose safety auto school because of the good reviews and on their website, it says that the passing rate for the road exam had been 98%. I thought I had the best chance of getting a driver's license with this school. And I was right. I am so glad that I picked this school. I took 5lessons+ Road test package. The instructor has a very busy schedule ( I guess I wasn't the only one reading the reviews on Yelp :D ) but he was able to accomodate me. I contacted him on Tuesday, he fit my five lessons on that day, Weds, and I took the road test on Friday :) The instructor was incredibly polite and made me feel very comfortable when driving. Because I get so nervous behind the wheel, I was making alot of same mistakes but he never yelled, never lost his temper, and was always encouraging. During my 5 lessons, I never felt that any time was wasted, and he let me practice on things I really needed to improve. (Before I went to Safety Auto School, I didn't know how to parallel park or go in reverse without bumping on the curve- I breezed through all that on the test =) ) And I even went on the highway! It was a great overall experience, and really helped me build confidence as a driver- which is something that I think all new drivers would appreciate :) Well, I can vouch for their high passing rate because I passed on my first try, which I would have never dreamed. (Lol, no one in my family believed me at first when I told them I got my driver's license- we were all surprised. :) ) And more importantly, I feel better about driving. I would strongly recommend this school to anyone hoping to improve their driving skills, increase their confidence on the road, or get a license. If you are looking for a driving school look no more. When i say this school is good and know what they are doing im not exaggerating. Ryan BEST instructor EVER. Very patient and really wants to teach you how to drive. He"s very good at what he does and explains techniques in ways that you can both understand and remember. He will actually use visuals while you are in the car for you to grasp the concept. I was a first time driver and a nervous one at the beginning, but Ryan puts you at ease right away he actually lets you drive and instructs you all the way through not like others that may tell you go drive and leave you to your own devices. If you make a mistake he's very patient and corrects you in a calm way that makes it easy for you to correct your mistakes and learn how to do it right. I had a great experience with this school they are very thorough with their jobs and they take pride in really teaching people how to be good drivers. I recommended my sister, brother, and sister in law to this school and we all passed our driving test. Ryan is very helpful his tips are spot on which makes the driving test that much easier. By the time you end your lessons with Ryan and the school you are a confident driver. Now that i drive my family is surprised at how well i drive for a "newbie" and i always make sure to thanks Ryan. Safety Auto school is a great school to learn to drive in an effective and engaging way. Ryan is extremly helpful, patient and energetic. He makes sure all of his students are learning. He teaches in a way that allows for people of all different learning styles to understand and comprehend the material. He even manages to make learning driving rules of the road fun! He doesn't bore students and he never does. I never drove before artending this school because my parents never had the time to practice with me, but within 3 lessons with Ryan I was able to feel comfortable on the road, do 3.0 turn and start parrallel parking. I was very anxious and scared to drive but he made me feel very comfortable and was very patient and gave constructive criticism at all times in a way that allowed me to consistently continue to improve. He genuinely wants all of his students to succeeed and he goes above and beyond to make sure you do. He wants all of his students to learn and he sincerely wants to ensure his students come out of his school as not only exceptional drivers, but safe drivers. There is definatley a need in this world to have more great teachers like him. I am thankful to have gotten to learn with him! I highly recommend Safety Auto School in Dorchester for everyone who wants to learn how to drive. I went to 2 other driving schools around the Boston area and had bad experiences. However, the instructor at Safety Auto School took his time to show me everything in a very detailed way. He was very professional, friendly, patient, polite, energetic, funny, and calm, which helped me tackle my weaknesses very effectively, which relieved my stress. I got a package with 9 lessons and a road test for $550.00, but it worth every penny. Unlike some other driving schools around the Boston area, which charge you $28.00 per lesson and surely don't teach you much. They just want you to take more lessons so they can make more money, and if you fail the road test, you have to pay another $80 -$120 for an additional road test. But at Safety Auto School, they take their time to make sure you know how to drive safety and pass the road test on the first try. They focus on quality versus quantity. After 9 lessons, I was able to pass my road test on the first attempt with confidence and I now know that I'm a safe driver on the street. Give them a try... Had five excellent lessons with Ryan, he was patient, curteous and always on time. As I was reading reviews below, I have to advise you NOT to pay attention to two of them. 1) because they are the same girl and 2) because I was the other driver in the car at the time. We both went for our road tests on February 5th, She was incredibly rude and refused to take his advice, made me almost an hour late for my road test due to her own personal tardiness. He did not make her sit for an entire lesson, he brought us the route of the road test to show us what to expect which was, to me, very helpful. The examiner was also running late due to weather so we had to wait a long time for the examiner. She also told me that she did not pass her test, and I'm sure that's why this review was written in the first place (as it was written the same day) . All this, and Ryan was nothing but patient with her, which in my opinion, speaks volumes about him. This is a great driving school, and a great instructor. He also has a great schedule and is able to work with my hectic schedule. I definitely got my money's worth, and now have a lisence in only two or three weeks! Ryan is by far the best driving instructor I have met. I had driving license in Asia, UK and now in US.Having taken driving lessons from various instructors in all these places - they were all the same telling students to do the routine stuff. Ryan has a deep understanding in driving through which he corrects your mistakes which makes him special. Other instructors tell the mistake you are doing in driving and ask you to correct it. But Ryan is different. Best part of Ryan is that he will employ a exercise to correct your mistake. Mistakes,flaws will be corrected then and there - he is able to do it because of his driving expertise. Within few classes you will gain immense confidence. His class always has a lot of information about different driving skills, road conditions and also about adjustments for rough weather. For freshers - Ryan is the best. For students from other continents - Ryan is a must. He will tell you exactly what adjustments needed for US driving. The Safety Auto School was definitely a great choice for me and my very first driving experience. Not only is the program efficient, it is very professional as well. I got the 10 lesson package, which included 9 practice runs and a road test. The whole package was only $550, which is quite low compared to the other schools I researched. The entire process could be taken in a matter of 2 weeks, for those in a rush and wanting their license as soon as possible. As many new drivers, I entered the school extremely nervous. The anxiety soon disappeared once I met my instructor and realized how personable he was. His humor and patience surely made me feel more comfortable in the driver's seat. I highly doubt that there are many others like him. Not only so, he willingly picked me up and dropped me off anywhere I desired within the Dorchester area. This by far is the best driving school that i have been to BY FAR. The driving instructor is very well mannered and an amazing teacher. He was very patient while teaching and he was open to teaching me what i wanted to learned and what i needed work on. THIS IS THE ONLY SCHOOL THAT TAKES YOU ON THE HIGHWAY it was a awesome experience driving with this school. He has very high expectations in making sure you learn rather than worrying about anything else. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who asks or is wondering about it. Even though other schools may be cheaper this school is well worth the money and you should expect nothing but success from this school. The location is very easy to find and he worked very diligently with my busy hectic schedule. He is very great with communication this is a grade A++ school. I am pleased to write this review about my experience with Safety Auto School. I had not driven in over 7 years and was very nervous about starting back, I was paired with Tyson as my driving instructor, and as it turned out he was top-notch. Very professional, and punctual, and in my driving time frame ( I took 4 double classes), these were also very affordable to me. Tyson put me at ease and made me so comfortable on the road again that the time flew by with each class. While driving he was also giving me pointers and important information about the rules and regulations for being on the road which was very helpful indeed. 5 stars! I passed my road test thanks to safety auto school. I took lessons with mostly Tyson but also had Andy (I think was his name) and Ryan. Everyone was great. I was originally taking lessons in Brookline and then since I ended up moving to Dorchester, I wanted more experience driving around my new neighborhood so I signed up with safety auto school. I decided to drop my Brookline school driving lessons school altogether because safety auto school was a much better experience. I bought more lessons with safety auto school than I originally planned. I kept practicing with them until I felt ready for the road test. They have great new cars (easy to drive) with friendly patient instructors that explain everything so clearly. There is nothing I could complain about. Before I went to Safety Auto School, my dad put me on the road, and this wasn't a good experience for me because he has a short temperament- not good for teaching someone how to drive. So, I was pretty relieved when I had Ryan as my instructor. I took the 9 lesson package with the driving test, and it was just a great experience. Ryan is very calm when instructing so you feel less nervous driving. He's also very polite and respectable, other than the other driving schools in the same Dorchester area I've heard of. He charges a little more than other schools, but at least you know you won't have to come back for other lessons because you didn't learn enough. Andy is really a well-experienced instructor as he knows how to boost the confidence of his student and not being too nervous on the road, which is helpful for students to get more focused and a safe driver. The team at Safety Auto School in Randolph does an awesome job! Recently they took my son in for a road test and when we got there it was cancelled. While the registry could not explain the cancellation, Safety Auto School wasted no time in trying to find a solution to the problem. Though the registry was stalling us, Nini and Ryan worked to get us another appointment for the road test just days later. They confirmed it on the same day of the disappointment and turned it into a moment of pleasure. My son is now a licensed driver and we could not have accomplished this in such a short timeframe without a quick response from Safety Auto School and the caring individuals that work there. I recently took this driving school with Ryan. Although I have had previous experience with driving on the road, Ryan has provided me a lot of insights on how to parallel park better, rules of the road, changing lanes, etc. The classes are very insightful as well. I learned a lot about the danger of driving and how I can prevent them. I have definitely become a better driver than I was before and I rarely make any reckless or minor mistakes while driving. I needed someone who had the patience to deal with someone like me who was at that time EXTREMELY nervous when it came to driving. My instructor was super knowledgeable on everything I needed to know to pass my road test. He was kind, friendly, funny and courteous. This is a very great school. They teach you everything you need to know about the road. Doing the classroom portion Ryan made it very interesting by adding his own little anecdotes so I wouldn't get bored out of my mind while listening to all those information. Then with the driving lessons, Wing & Tyson were very patient and very encouraging even when I was scared on the road. I passed my road test with my first try and I can truly say it's because of this school. They taught me everything I needed to know and more. I've taken about 6 lessons from the instructors from Safety Auto School, recently I had an instructor named Tysonn who was really helpful. He is patient and knowledgeable, he tries his best to help you learn how to drive properly. I was scheduled to a road test without any practice to parallel parking. I had about an hour with him and I was able to learn it quickly to attempt it well in my road test, I had successfully passed it. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't been able to obtain my license. Safety Auto school was such a life saver . They really did a good job with preparing me for my road test . I had took my six lessons with Ryan in Randolph . He was very patient and a helpful instructor. The day of my road test I took my 7th lesson with another instructor from the Boston location who was just as nice and patient (I forget his name but he was great ) .
