I wasn't sure of the source of the stain. I don't clean in it, wear it as part of an outfit. Its casual, but beautifully made. When I got it back, I asked if the stain was removed. It looked ok on the hanger, but when I got it home, the stain was darker, larger, the knit was stretched and it is now a square. I took it back. They said they tried, but the chemicals wouldn't take. I asked why they didn't tell me this; the attendant literally laughed. My issue: Shouldn't a cleaner tell you when they can't remove a stain? Do you need to just take it home and find out for yourself? Also, it clearly is worse. The stain is darker and has a stretched out squared. I guess next time, I take a before picture, and ask the protocol. The cardigan was not only well made, but lots of emotional connection.

So I left it up to them and they both came back damaged; the choir robe was stained and the tulle outfit totally destroyed. What I found out later that that choir robe could be washed at home, smh...but THEY didn't know that. We worked everything out. I didn't charge them for anything... Two weeks ago, I took 3 blazers, one of which could be regular washed and pressed. When I took it in, I stated that i wanted it washed and pressed and she told me "oh no, they'll all go in dry cleaning", once again trusting this lady who at the FIRST time took in my clothing. That should have been a RED FLAG... The 3 blazers, two off-white and one black. Well, the black blazer is ruined. You know why? It was cleaned with the two light-colored blazers and now the black blazer has little white balls that are VERY hard to get out. I have to buy another one. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. Whoever is doing their cleaning, lazily puts everything together and ruins the clothing. Yes, I have pictures. I'll attach them later. They apparently don't know/don't care. Not going back, do not recommend.

Without seeing clearly posted charges for the various items to be washed or dry cleaned, the upfront cost can be a surprise -especially if something occurs during the cleaning process. Another concern: having to be told "this is going to be expensive" before any payment was made. When you tell a customer about a cost that you think they can't afford, you are telling the customer to go elsewhere. I didn't drive up and walk through your door to hear not so subtle hints to take my business elsewhere. Post all charges -large print, clearly. Post what will be considered "extra charges" including any alterations that are available.

Why iron your shirts?…read more Let's face it. Men hate using a clothes iron. I know I do. My wife can slap a shirt on the ironing board, wave the iron over it for 30 seconds, and badda-bing-badda-boom, nice crisp shirt. I on the other hand, wrestle with my shirt, knock over the ironing board, burn my hand, and eventually decide to wear a sweater... For about $2 a shirt, I now just go to the closet and pick out a nice crisp shirt and I'm on my way. This has been my regular dry cleaner for the past 10 years. They have a nice frequent customer program. They give you a couple of clothes bags with to use so you can just drop them off when you fill them up. You don't even have to check in. The bags are tagged with your info. A 25% discount is always applied when using the Martinizing clothes bags. Just throw them on the pile and walk out. Two days later, it's all done. Once a year, we have our comforters cleaned and they come back like new and not smelling like my dog. Very important. Super friendly neighborhood employees. It's family owned and operated so they care about their customers. They even know me by name and I only go about once a month.
