We signed in…read moreJuly 2025 and, despite challenging winter weather, the project was completed by December 2025; an impressive feat given their busy season. Deiter, our Project Manager, was exceptional: thorough, patient with questions, and consistently responsive. He walked us through multiple design options and kept me informed about any scheduling changes. Eric and his electricians expertly handled our electrical service upgrade, dealt with our old house's electrical complexities, and seamlessly added an EV charger during the project. Their pricing was competitive with four other quotes (local and national), but Deiter's knowledge and the company's strong local reputation made the difference. My instinct that they'd do the job right proved correct: they delivered quality work with excellent communication throughout.

The entire process to identify if the site qualified for a system (shade, sun aspect, roof strength, etc.) through to final hook up takes several months and I was satisfied with the entire process. The decision to install a PV system starts with an analysis of current electrical use to size the system appropriately. We added a complication by asking the project manager to calculate how many PV panels we'd need to add to charge an electric vehicle three times a week. That was added that into the calculations, projections and return on investment analysis. The ROI analysis was easy to understand and, from my perspective, reasonable and realistic. Throughout the process our project manager kept us informed, and walked us through paperwork to get utility rebates and group buy discounts. We further complicated the process by adding a "time of use" meter and upgrading the line to the street to 200 amp service and Full Spectrum helped coordinate that installation with our utility. They also worked well with the electrician we hired (Prana Electric, see review) to upgrade our house panel to 200 amp service and connect the solar system into the panel. I would hire Full Spectrum again, and highly recommend both the company and it's partner, MadiSun which helps educate and enroll people in solar installations.

The installation went smoothly and the crew was knowledgeable, professional, well-organized, and great at communicating with us. We've had no issues with the panels in the 5+ years since then, and I admit it's fun to check the app to see how much energy they produce. More recently, we did have an issue with a family of squirrels that took up residence under the panels, causing some damage. When I reached out to the company to ask for advice about addressing the issue, they got us on the schedule for repairs and critter guard installation. Nest removal was handled by a different company, which left the remains of the nest all over the roof, deck, and lawn. The crew was unfazed by the mess and got to work. They were organized, efficient, responsive to my questions - and they certainly left everything in far better shape than they found it. I can't recommend them highly enough - and though I would now recommend having critter guards installed when the panels are installed, this approach was cost-effective and the work was done well.

The entire project was completed in a timely manner with no complications. The system works flawlessly and has helped us cut our home's energy consumption substantially. One of the great features that Rik included with our system is access to the online portal that tracks power output on a minute-by-minute basis. It is really cool to have this added information that shows how many Watts our system is producing as well as the total production over any time period we input. We are extremely proud of the quality and performance of our system. We would like to expand it in the future and plan to work with Rik and Midwest Solar Power again. We are looking forward to many years of renewable energy in the future!

This is by far the worst experience we've ever had with any company, period. Their sales team was pushy. Their customer service team is incompetent. The warranty is meaningless, and everything is an upcharge. And the return on investment is non-existent. It was a horrible decision to move forward with them. One that I will undoubtedly regret for decades as I continue to pay off the panels that provide little to no value to me as a homeowner. They'll do anything to get your business, but once you become a customer, you will mean nothing to them. We were told that they'd assist as a liaison between the solar company and our utility provide, but then put the onus on us to request answers from our provider any time we had questions regarding our energy production and usage. They refuse to provide clarity on what kind of value our extra production credits brings once sold back to the grid. In other words, they pushed and pushed to get our business, and then said it's out of their hands immediately after they had us hooked. It's absolutely despicable and offensive that a company like this is able to use illegal door-to-door solicitation tactics to get in the door, manipulate and lie to potential customers, and fail to deliver on anything they promised. Now that I'll be in a financial hole for the next 20 years, the only thing I can do is try to dissuade anyone else from doing business with Everlight Solar from this point forward. DO NOT GET SOLAR FROM EVERLIGHT!

This two-star rating does not reflect the quality of work performed by the individual sub-contracted companies, which final product was satisfactory after timely repairs. The low rating is due to a significant lack of communication with Ridge Top, and unfinished work. Sub-contracted crews showed up on-site unannounced or changed their work schedule without notice from Ridge Top. We were informed we did not need to be home on days only outdoor projects would be completed, and yet crews were ringing the doorbell asking for instructions about installation that was not provided to them by Ridge Top (window orientation, down spout locations, etc). This interfered with work-from-home meetings. During siding work, the doorbell circuit was closed by poor nail placement causing it to run continuously. This resulted in both the door bell and transformer to become overheated and melt the bell chime cover inside the house. This was replaced by an electrician in a timely manner. Significant work-site debris was left in the yard, and Ridge Top's project managers shared our alarm at the final walk through. Together, we picked up roofing brackets, pail-full of nails we have collected with our own magnet, trimmed pieces of fascia/soffit/siding, and whole shingles. When we signed with Ridge Top we specifically asked, and were assured, that the new window trim would match the existing size, eliminating the need for additional significant drywall and paint repair. After 2 separate measurement appointments before installation, the finished trim installed on 13 windows was significantly smaller. We raised this concern during installation and at multiple walkthroughs, but it was repeatedly ignored. At the final walkthrough, Ridge Top acknowledged the extensive repairs required to both drywall and painting, and offered to provide compensation if we could get a quote from our own painter. Unfortunately, 2 weeks after the quote was shared with Ridge Top and multiple un-returned phone calls, they reversed this decision citing generic contract terms. This situation would not have been an issue had Ridge Top honored their initial assurance of minimal repairs or addressed the problem promptly. Instead, the lack of transparency and follow-through has resulted in unnecessary additional expenses and frustration.

They not only charged two grand over the price quoted, they filed a lien on the property even though they knew I was in the process of taking out a bank loan to pay for it. This was after they had already received eleven thousand dollars (almost all that was due). Ironically, they're filing of the lien might be the the thing that sinks the loan, as it is a HELOC. Greedy, greedy company. As for the quality of the work, I am pretty sure I didn't get my money's worth. There are items on the invoice that I am certain they didn't do because Jeff, the guy in charge told me they weren't going to do, but he told me he would be billing insurance for anyway. Even before the project started both Olivia and Jarron took the time to answer any questions and address any concerns I had regarding the equipment being installed and the overall scope of the project. Day 1, first up was a couple of electrical guys, quickly followed by Jarron and his HVAC team, Ben & Ryan. All on time and ready to get to it. Professional, pleasant and remarkably tolerant of my nonstop questions about the systems, the guys went to work and, other than a quick lunch break, worked nonstop, not particularly concerned about the clock but more about getting to a reasonable stopping place for the day. By the time they were finished, everything was operational, square and plumb, all pipes, valves, duct work and conduit looking very slick, orderly and professional. (5 stars just on the sheet metal work alone). Next up was the weatherization team with Nick leading the charge. Again, on time and ready to go. These guys, Zarek, Steven and Danial, came in with a plan and went right two it, peeling off to address varying issues and again, once on the ground it was go time for these guys. Remarkably, all willing and ready to jump in to even the less desirable parts of the project (like who really wants to go into a hot attic and crawl around in the corners? But they did it and with no hesitation or whining). Over all there were several things that impressed me about the Greenlink teams. There is the obvious stuff, like the punctuality and, remarkably, the through cleanup at the end of each day, and also the obvious work ethic, mutual respect amongst the team members and easy and informative communication with me. I think what was the most reassuring though, you could see the obvious pride the Greenlink people take in their work and, just as importantly, the obvious pride they take in working as part of the Greenlink team. That says a lot. I would not hesitate to recommend Greenlink Energy Solutions to anyone. I suspect my neighbors are already tired of hearing about how good they are.
