I had a scheduled service call. Electrician hadn't showed up 2 hours after appointment was scheduled for. I called to checkin and see what time they are looking at so I could refigure my schedule. I was told by the person answering the phone that they were one van down and running late. I understood, but I also needed to have an idea on when I needed to be on location for the service and was trying to get a ball park so I could re-notify my tenants and so that I could be available to meet the electrician. Instead of offering me a new time window, the gal on the phone was very rude and began to lecture me on how service calls work. I told her I understood that and didn't need her condescending comments that I was just trying to plan. The gal then hung up on me. Needless to say, I have a different electrician coming in this afternoon who was more than happy to help. I really wish my original electrician didn't retire!! I will miss him! I have been in the apartment industry for over 17 years and have never been treated so rudely by a company. What matters most to me is making sure that my tenants are taken care of by a respectful and reliable company. Schedule changes are a necessity in business, however when that occurs one would think a company would have a good communication plan in action so that all parties can be properly notified....and a company certainly should be polite to their clients. I would not recommend Dauman Electric to anyone for their electrical needs. read more

Dauman Electric and their team of highly skilled electricians has helped us with many many projects from entire house rewirings to installing an exterior outlet so we could light Christmas trees at our parish in the dead of winter and the temperatures were not ideal. I'm a repeat customer and I can't imagine calling anyone but Dauman Electric the next time I need any electrical work at my home. I hired Dauman Electric for my recent kitchen remodeling project and was thrilled with not only the results, but with the service as well. They were on time from the start - even for the estimate! Their crews are not only top-notch electricians, but they are also well trained in customer service. It was clear from the start that these guys weren't here simply to get a job done and leave. While on-site and on the fly, they made recommendations and offered options that we hadn't even thought of. They were very patient in answering all our questions and when they were finished, the look and functionality of our kitchen was beyond anything we could have imagined. We especially appreciate their input on our under-cabinet lighting and their recommendation to add rope lighting above. And, even though I chose not to have a disposal added, they (along with a little nudge from my wife) convinced me that I should have the wiring installed should I want to add one later. It is this kind of expertise that makes working with Dauman Electric so re-assuring. Last year when we remodeled our master bath, Dauman Electric was the only electrician I even considered. Before they were even scheduled to start the job, I called Mary in a panic because the painter was finishing up his work and noticed that the current opening for the vanity light was too low. She was able to have an electrician at my house within a few hours and the opening was moved, the painter finished his work, and the crisis was averted. While he was there, we discussed the installation of the new exhaust fan and the options for the switches. He crawled in the attic and instantly put me at ease. He noted right away that the existing exhaust fan was improperly terminated and knew exactly how he planned to install the new one. He knew precisely what would be needed to get the job done and made a list of everything I would need so Mary could quickly get me a quote. He even recommended a specific timer for the exhaust fan, and helped us to select the appropriate color for the outlet covers and switches. On installation day, they showed up on time (before 7:00 a.m) and had the job finished very quickly. We couldn't be more pleased with the results. read more

My experience with Dauman Electric was very favorable. Pleasant to work with. We have a brand new home, but we're not happy with the electric job done by the builer's electrician. Having heard good things about Dauman Electric, we called Dauman Electric and asked them to come to the house. We explained our needs across the two levels of our home. The guy showed up on time and with a pleasant introduction. This was a relief as we knew we would not be able to be home when the work was being done. He could not have been more courteous. He immediately put on a pair of shoe coverings which is more than I can say for recent appliance repairmen and cable guys. We could tell the Dauman guy knew his stuff. While he listened to what we wanted, he provided input and recommendations for options we didn't know were possible. We were so excited to get started and went ahead with scheduling the work. After being scheduled, two guys showed up in the time planned. Prior to leaving for work, we were shown the parts that were going to be installed, allowing us to be sure with our requests. We found these guys were very trust-worthy. After the first day's work, we had thought of a couple more things we wanted done. No problem! The guys finished and did an awesome job. I could not believe it, but we even received a follow-up call to make sure we were happy with the work. Wow, there are still businesses that understand what 'service' is!
