I expected to provide a higher rating with a second visit, but cannot. Their customer service and communication is terrible and I would avoid the location and company unless required by insurance. General comments on the facility: Waiting room with about ten chairs. A TV is on with no programming playing. Vending machines and restroom available. For a muggy warm day outside, the inside temperature was comfortable. Staff interactions were all pleasant. Visit One: Scheduled visit via web site to fix a chip. Received a call from the location to confirm and an automated call from corporate reminding me of the appointment. I arrived 30 minutes early, but that did not matter as they were busy. Work on the windshield began no latter than 20 minutes after the scheduled appointment. I then waited 2 hours before getting up to find my vehicle in the front lot. Why would they call me when they stamped the work order that I was waiting!? This was a failure of the person performing the repair and the front desk person. BASED ON THE TIMESTAMP OF THE MESSAGE, I SHOULD HAVE LEFT an hour ten minutes after my early arrival time. They did not fix the chip, it was worse with three cracks, and I was told the windshield needed to be replaced. I scheduled the next visit via web, including supplying insurance information, to avoid speaking to staff. Visit Two: Only good thing is I was able to speak with a technician at drop-off to confirm the windshield replacement. (I would not trust a response from the call center or front desk person.) Arrived after 8 am. Partially read the disclaimer regarding dropped off vehicles being worked into the schedule. Attempted to determine vehicle status via web site and three calls to contact the shop. The corporate call center called the shop twice with no response. (Call Center offered to send an email for them to call me. Why if they aren't responding to the phone 1.25 hours before close?) I came to the shop because the close time was listed as 5 pm. The vehicle had not been touched. The same technician from the morning stated he should be finished in ~1.5 hours despite the 2.5-3 hours listed on the window. It took him just over 1.5 hours. He pointed out additional damage that occurred to the car during the process. Comments: o Customers should be able to contact the shop directly via phone. o Disclaimers and caveats should be explained verbally. Two of the posted notices should be given in print to customers dropping off. o Don't accept appointments when the work can't be completed in a regular work day. Verbally set and reset expectations with the customer. o Explain expected communication regarding the repair like emails Observations: o "AI" (automated customer service agent via phone) was incorrect about checking vehicle status online. o A customer who dropped off car at 9:30 am left at 6 pm. I dropped off car at 8 am and it is ready at 6:40 pm. Appears "bass-ackwards" to me. o A person who arrived before me at 5 pm stated she had not received a call. She scrolled through her phone and confirmed. o At 5 pm and afterwards, no one is at the front desk, so unless the shop folks see you, you wait at the front. (No sense in trying to call.) read more

We had an appointment at Safelite AutoGlass - Southaven and arrived about 15 minutes early, hoping to get in and out smoothly. The customer service was good, and the staff greeted us kindly when we came in. Everyone was professional and respectful throughout the visit. However, the overall wait time was much longer than expected. Even with an appointment, we didn't leave until nearly three hours later. The work itself appears to have been done properly, and we appreciate the technician's effort. I was given a discount, and that made the whole experience worth it. Windshield and side glass replacement. Well the first thing I noticed after the job was done was the wiper arm is not in the correct position, then I was getting no sound out of the speaker from the door that replaced the glass on so I pulled the panel up and noticed they cut the speaker wire and also left off the clear foam sound panel/moisture panel . One of the most unprofessional jobs I've ever seen on a sunglass. And for some reason the window does not like to roll back up after you roll it down now. I'm thinking some glass was left in the track. I spoke to who I thought was the supervisor as he walked outside with me and I showed him what they did but he showed no concern whatsoever. Also whoever that did all this also left screws out of the speaker bracket. This is the second van we had done by them , the first was a ram pro master and they left out the plastic push pins that held down the plastic panel under the wiper arms and tried just using double sided tape to hold it down , just a bunch of hacks .bI will no longer take company vehicles to Safelite as they do an unprofessional job every time I've been there. Beware of Safelite. I now understand why their ratings are so low. They will price gouge you, and when you call customer service, they have no clue why the total billing amount is so high. Just a little background: It started with a $500 deductible, plus an additional $400 charge. I had to cancel my appointment four times because every time I checked the billing, it was different. Upon arriving to the store, everyone was super nice and it was a super quick check in. I was super surprised and impressed when I got a call 45mins later saying my car was already done! I wasn't able to pick it up until the next morning (I expected it to take 2-3 hrs) and they pulled it inside for me overnight. They did clean up the glass decently, but there's still some in my car that keeps revealing itself. *** BUT, there are cracks/scratches in my windshield. You would hope that if you get a brand new windshield, there wouldn't be ANY marks. I was going to let them know and see what could be done (reimbursement?), but a few days had already passed so I anticipated them blaming me for the marks. Absolute mess of a service. Safelite installed an aftermarket windshield on my 2013 Mustang without even offering me the option for OEM glass. My car is worth over $15K, and I would've gladly paid the difference--but they made assumptions and never confirmed anything. I tried to get it corrected, and scheduled a follow-up for 12-5 PM. Instead, the tech showed up hours early, didn't wait, and then left the area. When I called back 15 minutes later, he said he was "already gone" and never came back. Even worse--they deleted my appointment from the system and I had to start over completely. I've now had to push this off for another week due to my work schedule. Total inconvenience. I couldn't even reach the tech because his voicemail was full. I've filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Ohio Attorney General. I will never recommend this location or company to anyone. Convenience shouldn't come at the cost of quality, communication, or basic respect. Edit to add since they replied : yall own rep stated they usually ask if they want aftermarket or OEM but because my car is a older model and most older models don't want a OEM one they didn't ask. Doesn't matter what parts yall put on the receipt, when I booked it didn't ask me if I wanted a OEM windshield or aftermarket , so I assumed yall would go with the factory setting of the vehicle since that's what I had on my car that yall replaced . A couple of months ago, I went to Safelite in Southaven, MS for crack repair on my new vehicle. Well, during the process of the repair, the tech caused additional damage after he filled in the "resin" and that damage ultimately led to the windshield spreading in the heat last week. Now Safelite tells me that their disclaimer states that "Some repairs fail" and if it does, the money spent for the repair would be applied towards a replacement. The replacement windshield is nearly $2,000, minus the $170 Never using Safelite again. Can you say #HOTTERthanFISHgrease. Oh by the way, I asked to speak to the manager and was told she was on another call. I called the corporate offices and still waiting to hear from someone. read more

I don't usually write negative reviews, but my experience has been awful and I would like to spare others the same nightmare. I had a small star in my windshield that was less than a week old and not spreading. I called safelite to do what I thought would be a simple repair, but by the time they had "repaired it" it was 4 inches long. It is now 12 inches long and the windshield will need to be replaced. This isn't the worst part. There is almost no way to get in touch with them. I called, emailed, and even went up to the store. The guy that I spoke with at the front desk said that he wasn't authorized to do a "failed repair" and that everyone that was authorized to was in a meeting with an unknown end time. No one ever responds to my calls or emails either. A warranty is only good if you can get in touch with the ones behind the warranty. read more

Came in on Monday, Jan 24th for a peck in my windshield that occurred a little over a week earlier in the bad weather (snow). After an hour of waiting I was told the tech had cracked my windshield (what was a peck was now a split on the driver's side that's about 8-10" long). The manager took me aside, waived the charge on the peck fix (about $125) and promised to "make it right". The car is a Lexus RC350, and knowing the replacement would be costly he gave me his card and said he would call in a few hours. I gave it time that day but was annoyed. Fast forward to Wednesday Jan 26th. No call. I called them on Friday, Jan 28th at 1:30 and left a message for "Carlie" the manager on his cell. No return call. I called again yesterday, Monday, Jan 31st at 3:30 in the afternoon, again to Carlie's cell, and left yet another message. Today is 2/1 and it's 11:26 and no return call. I am not one to just believe everything I see on these reviews but you can clearly see a pattern emerging here on Yelp with customers whose expensive windshields have been broken and with the overall failure of management to address them. Calls are not returned or responded to, and it's an overall attitude of "your problem". Customer satisfaction? No. Customer service? No. I'd been coming here for years but you just lost my business. Should corporate or district see this review--you need new management. Don't make promises you won't keep, and don't say you'll call If you won't. This company has the worst communication that I have ever experienced. I took my car in for a windshield repair on 4/26. The tech was unable to recalibrate it and sent me home with no cruise control, lane assist, high beams, etc while they ordered a new windshield. My appointment was scheduled for 5/9. It was rescheduled twice via text message with no explanation. When I tried to contact the Southaven store, I got a call center and was unable to get in touch with someone from the local store. When I finally talked to the manager, he informed me that the windshield was on backorder. He promised to call me and let me know when it would be in but never called. My next appointment 5/15 was canceled the evening before with no reschedule date. I attempted to contact a higher up and my email was blocked. My glass is rolling up slow now I'm sure because I can still hear glass falling in and out of the window. He cleaned all the windows in the car and vacuumed it before he left. Mostly arranged by the insurance company when I reported the crack to them. do not use. the single most incompetent group i have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. So i had to get the glass replaced on my audi, through progressive. We schedule an appointment and the guys comes out and says he couldnt finish it all today because he had the wrong rain censor. Ok, it happens. He comes out the next day to finish. I then have to take it to Audi to get it recalibrated so all my censors work. Ok, pain-in the ass but that's more of a progressive failure because why they wouldnt just do it all in one is beyond me. I get to Audi and they tell me I have the wrong glass basically an old Audi glass that cant calibrate to my 2017, now i'm pissed I spend two hours on the phone and safelite agrees to come out and fix their mistake. After the new one is installed I noticed they scratched my car and didnt even say anything. I now have to call progressive who gets the idiots at safelite on the phone. They ask me to send pictures, so I do and the claim is accepted by both them and progressive. Now I am trying to get the scratch fixed and the supervisor I was repeatedly told to call hasnt called me back after 3 vm's and two weeks. Sick of this, avoid at all costs. Taken over 6 weeks to get a damn windshield and it's still not done. Absurd and completely incompetent boardering on negligent. DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. After I had 2 nicks in my front windshield. I contacted my insurance company who set up Satelite to come out at a time and day of my choosing. I receiving a email and text notification of scheduled date and time with a link in case I needed to reschedule. I was able to easily click on the link and reschedule my appt. Without any problems when something came up on that date. The service tech called me 30 mins before he came to my house to give me a heads up. He was fast, friendly and fixed my 2 nicks perfectly. So imagine my surprise when after confirming my appointment for this morning a week ago, then six texts later, all confirming this appointment, they no-call-no-show. I called the 662 # associated with my web appointment about a half hour after my appointment window was closed, and I was placed on hold by what seemed to be a national call center. After about 7 minutes on hold, they disconnected me. I waited, hoping for a call back, but after 15 minutes, no call back. So disappointing. I called again & was told there was not a technician in my area who could do the work, and that I no longer had an appointment. Other than the NCNS & the disconnect, nobody was rude, just didn't seem to care. I wish I could speak with someone there who would care, but the call just reroutes to the call center. I made an appointment to get windshield replaced a month ago. I understand that things can be slow but had an appointment for Monday, August 1st between 12-5 pm. No one showed or even called until 7:00 pm. The number they give you to call them is bogus because it's a virtual call and even though you ask for an operator, it will transfer you to a mailbox where you are told the mailbox is full and you can't leave a message. The technician that came out on 8/1 was very cordial but couldn't repair the windshield at that time because it needed to have the wiper delayed windshield and I gave them the wrong info on the car. Brian said someone would call me to reschedule. I have been rescheduled for today, August 4th between 8-5. I've been home all day and no one has contacted me and now it's almost 3:30 pm. If someone doesn't call or come out to attempt to fix the windshield today, I'm going to a different vendor. I've waited over a month and can't get this handled. read more

I came in September 17 to get my windshield replaced because of a long crack going across it. Not only did they replace my windshield but my rearview mirror as well. My rearview mirror is significant because it has a garage opener attached to that is connected to my house. Once I came back to confront them about my missing rearview mirror, they claimed that the dirty worn mirror they replaced it with is my original mirror. After the manager looked over the mirror, manager Carlie claimed that he will replace my mirror after I get an estimate from my local Nissan dealership. I did just that and I have not heard from him in weeks. I have called multiple times and have gotten nothing but empty promises from the receptionist and dead silence from him. Not only have these people broken /stolen my mirror, but they are also leaving my household in danger as they have my address on file and any unsavory employee could use the opener and access my house. Safelite, is hiring deceitful people standard practice? Is this how you treat your customers? I paid $485 just to have my mirror stolen. I demand a resolution now! I want to see the cameras now! He still came to my house and apologized for not having the right equipment, which I thought was very professional. The second technician called me Monday and offered to take care of my truck same day. I asked him if he could meet me at my job Tuesday afternoon. He was right on time and came prepared. Like the first technician, he was very friendly and professional. He had me done in less than an hour, and I didn't see any damages to my truck inside or outside. The only minor critique I have is to make sure if you say on the invoice that you cleaned my windows and vacuumed the truck, make sure you do it all the way, not half way. For the 1st appointment the technician had the wrong glass (brought the standard windshield instead of the one with the technology package which was in the insurance claim). Not a big deal mistakes happen. For the 2nd appointment the technician never showed for the appointment (5 hour window 12-5). I tried to call but they close at 5 and the recording said call back tomorrow. I went to the website and left a message. The technician called 30 minutes after 5 and asked in any on called me when I said no he wanted to reschedule again. I also had a coupon for $30 off and the woman who scheduled my service found one for $40 off. That was great! Anthony Harris arrived on time actually earlier than I expected which was great (that two greats so far) He was very professional, detail oriented, neat in his appearance (great). He explained everything thoroughly (double great). When he completed the work my car looked great he cleaned the windows and ran a vac through it. I was most pleased. Considering I dropped my car off for the windshield to be replaced at 8 AM for a 9 AM appointment, I assumed it would be ready at 11 AM at the latest (as they advertise a 90 minute to 2 hour service). Unfortunately, upon my arrival back at their location around 12:30 PM, I had to wait another 30 minutes for my car to be ready. 4 hours to replace a windshield is unacceptable and I will seriously reconsider returning to this business. read more
