Windshield was cracked while driving down the highway as a result of debris that came from a flatbed semi. My insurance company must have some sort of deal worked out with Safelite because they make it super convenient to get the work done there. So, I make my appointment and arrive about 15 minutes early. Check in with the receptionist, hand over the keys, and take my seat in the waiting room. About 15 minutes later, a young man emerges from the back and advises me... wait for it... that he isn't able to replace my windshield. Oh, you want to know the reason why he couldn't?!? Please sit down before reading any further. He advises me that "your vehicle doesn't have enough gas in it for me to replace the windshield". I thought I was hearing things, or perhaps he was just making a joke! Nope. Apparently, in order for this worthless company to replace a windshield, they require the vehicle to have a minimum of a half-tank of gas. Now if you're anything like me, you're probably a bit dumbfounded and probably thinking "that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of in my life"! And you know something? You're right! I politely told him I'll take my business elsewhere. I couldn't even argue the point. I was absolutely astonished at the stupidity of such a comment that I had to just walk out and proceed about my day! Obviously, I would NOT recommend this company to my worst enemy! There are plenty of options out there for you to take your business to that actually do the work and appreciate it! read more
