It was late in the evening with very little light with no flashlight and accidentally put the positive battery cable on the negative post. It smelled strange so decided I should find a light. I went into my daughters house to try to find one. When I got back to the car, the cable was quite hot. I switched the cable and started the car and of course had to re-enter the radio code but there was no sound. I googled and it said putting the positive on the negative could destroy the electronic system. I called dealership, they said I'd have to bring it in for diagnostic test, $130. So I took to my local mechanic to test, who also said it could've just been a fuse. His test didn't find the solution so I called a used auto parts for a radio replacement. He was able to tell me that it could either be the amplifier or the receiver. So I called my mechanic back, and he referred me to Loud-N-Clear saying they may could find the problem. I took to Loud-N-Clear, and after checking various things they sure enough found the problem and FIXED the sound!!! $65. I was so amazed and very thankful. Plus, the guys were so nice. And by the way, I called the electronics place in Blacksburg mentioned in the previous review and they said they had no way of fixing something like this. So thumbs up for Loud-N-Clear.
