The information he arms you with is well worth his fees and we would not think of purchasing a home without his inspection. Crews were on time, respectful of our home, and professional in their prep work and installation. The laminate plank floors are beautiful, and we know from our kitchen floor that they are durable and easy to clean. When we told Sean we wanted new carpet on the stairs, he gave some excellent suggestions and had just the right subcontractor to do that portion of our project. He even put us in touch with a company to replace our old, ugly bannisters, which perfectly completed our upgrade. We couldn't be happier with our gorgeous home makeover, thanks to Sean and company!

I had a list of upgrades I wanted to make on my house from a 700 square foot deck rebuild to doors with dry rot and termites that needed to be replaced with brand new Milgard French doors and windows. I had gotten estimates from a few different companies from large, well known construction companies down to smaller ones but didn't make the move with any of them for various reasons. After my walk thru with Jeff I knew I had found the team to take care of the work. Jeff and his crew are real people with pride in their work. They are qualified and fair on prices. Jeff is easy to communicate with and always got back to me within the day. He is busy and moves quick but always took the time to sit down with me and explain his process. Him and his crew of Johnny and Evan, take pride in their work and truly want to give you a product you will be happy with. He also had a 9-11 foot cut next to The walkway to backyard and refused to put any caution tape on that. We went and did it ourselves after a week. Beyond these issues the work is ok at best. He is supposed to be an engineer but the project has been shut down for 6 months because he can't engineer a set of front stairs the city will approve. The whole Neighborhood is fed up because hes been here so long. From my experience this guy is a total hack. Tyrza's "Charm": Imagine interrupting a sulky teen's Snapchat session - that was every call with Tyrza. Her enthusiasm was as visible as a ghost. 2. The Quoting Quagmire: James played the no "nickel and diming" tune with a side of a veteran discount. Then, "Oops, missed a room!" That little oversight cost us an unexpected $420. Talk about attention to detail. 3. James' "Dad" Vibes: James' lectures included gems like "This isn't an insult but if you think you come off like a nice guy you don't," plus a reminder that "you were given the level of respect you showed us." He even pulled the "I'm old enough to be your dad" card. Because that's relevant how? 4. Baseboard Comedy Show: Post-flooring, the baseboards were propped up against walls like they were on a break. Apparently, putting them back is a service, not a courtesy. 5. Impromptu Board Replacements: Without so much as a by-your-leave, they replaced boards on the first floor and slapped on an additional ~$1600 bill for their silent service. 6. The Great Baseboard Hunt: They claimed the first-floor baseboards had vanished. Spoiler: They were enjoying a rain dance outside. 7. Wall Décor by Carrolls: New wall art includes stains and handprints, courtesy of the team. It's like living in a toddler's canvas. 8. Veneer Vanishing Act: Oh, and the veneer on the stairs? Broken. They promised to replace it, but that turned out to be yet another empty promise. 9. Flooring Fiasco: And the encore? The floors are already splitting in areas post-refinish. Seems like durability was an afterthought. Despite maintaining composure throughout this ordeal, the level of professionalism we encountered was underwhelming. My advice for anyone dipping their toes into home renovation: consider any other flooring company but Carrolls, unless unexpected costs, missing baseboards, and bonus wall stains are your thing.
