We found that other lenders were unable to deliver the kind of assistance we needed. Through Nelva and her underwriters, we were able to refinance our loan and get rid of our PMI in under a year. We called Nelva to see if she could help and naturally, it was a matter of a little investigation, but the criteria that needed to be met was rather easy for our particular situation. Nelva helped us through every step and explained anything we questioned. There was a little snafu in the end concerning closing costs. January 2015 regulations changed and the interpretation was vague. Allowing, it seemed, for lenders holding notes to request one thing and yet something else was suppose to be the rule. What ever the outcome was, Nelva held fast to what she told us, letting us know that if any extra cash was needed, her company would come to the table for us. WOW. Customer service at it's ultimate very best. Sticking by one's word is not the norm, especially in real estate. Excuses or exceptions are generally given. So needless to say and yet I'll say it anyway, Nelva and her company, Diversified Mortgage, are Extremely Honorable and Trust Worthy. If we find ourselves in the favorable position to refinance to a lower interest rate, Nelva is going to be the first person we call. Hands down, great job. Nelva Samiee is an asset and Diversified Mortgage is a fantastic company to do business with. So is the lender they set us up with. We couldn't be happier all the way around. We knew it was going to be extremely difficult to sell first and then buy, as our toddlers make a mess of the house daily. There was no way we would be able to have nice "open houses" and sell our house prior to purchasing a new one. Our real estate agent put us in contact with Nelva and she made everything work! Nelva was fast, efficient, and friendly. I am pretty sure we have a record time for closing on the house that we purchased. It happened in a snap. Really. She is also very easy to contact, which totally helped keep the whole process feel a notch lower on the stress factor - a bonus when you're in the middle of trying to buy a house. Any time we had questions or wanted updates, we knew we could call, text or email. Her responses were immediate. She was amazing. If you are reading this review, you are done searching for the person who will help you with your loan. She is that person.

I started looking into refinance early in August as the rate keeps dropping and would like to take Advantage of the low interest rate. A few banker friends referred a few brokers and Stella is among one of them. I work with all of them simultaneously requesting daily updates on the interest rate. I was aiming at a no point no cost low interest rate refinance for 30yrs fixed mortgage. This is hard to get because I wanted to prevent multiple hard credit inquiries with different lenders at the same time hoping the rate would drop lower. Without the hard credit inquiry one cannot locked the interest rate for the refinance. I missed a short window to lock the rate in August. Coming into September, Stella convinced me to have all documents ready and do the hard credit pull while waiting for the my target rate. The stock market tanked in early September and the opportunity emerged for the rate drop. On Sep 9th, target rate appeared and she informed me and decisively locked the rate for me for 30days and my refinance is closed with quicken loan(one of the lenders the broker works with) on Oct 5. I am very pleased because Stella and her team is on top of things and answered all my questions timely. Stella is also the expert at what she does and I felt confident my refinance would get done timely. I also felt so lucky to get the rate because the interest rate started recovering shortly after that with no sign of coming down. I highly recommend Stella and her team if you are considering refinance and I am sure they will help you find a solution you need. A few take away points: 1. Don't hesitate to lock the rate when the rate is within target 2. Have all the documents ready in the beginning when deciding to do refinance 3.     Based on his numerous good reviews, I messaged Stephen early last August about the possibility of…read moregetting a United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) 15-year fixed home loan at 1.99%. This was a new program announced by press release, which I read about in a Yahoo! Finance article, through a link on Google News. Having worked previously in real estate and finance, I knew what the key points were to our situation, so I included those in the message to Stephen, asking whether he would be able to do the loan. Stephen responded abruptly by saying that he would have to talk with me by phone, to discuss "details." After I called him, he proceeded to try to browbeat me into accepting a different program at a higher interest rate. His approach was to use old-fashioned psychological pressure tactics, along the lines of: "Are you so naïve that you think you could actually get such a loan? That rate is just a teaser that you would never actually get." He was crude, demeaning and even insulting. I informed him, politely, that I had a background in real estate and finance, so I was not naïve about these things, offering him one last chance to do business with us, if he was so inclined. But he insisted that the loan would not be possible for us, so I thanked him and said goodbye. Shortly thereafter, I found a straightforward loan broker who in fact did the loan for us, on exactly the terms I had in mind: 1.99% 15-year fixed, with a reasonable fee. We closed in less than three weeks and none of the things that Stephen said were obstacles turned out to be an issue. I am pleased to report that my wife and I are now enjoying substantially lower monthly payments. BOTTOM LINE: If you want someone with an "old-school" approach to sales--involving psychological games, pressure tactics and absence of transparency (resulting in your not getting the best deal that you could)--Stephen Wong may be a good fit for you.
