Very disappointed in our stay, checked in around 8pm on a Sat night. No one there to greet us. (B&B…read moresends you a text with a code for your room and check in) Text was very inviting but only in text. We had agreed to switch rooms because they had over booked. We agreed (which we shouldn't have) the new room was super small, you can hear everything the other guests were saying in the next room. (At 11pm) sleeping was very difficult, especially with the door slamming all night. The alley way door kept slamming all night, the smoke detector was chirping all night. In the lobby and our room. We requested an extra pillow at 10pm with no response. (The text greeting stated "call or text at any time" guess not this time) When we spoke to the owner/manager in the am they gave attitude about the late text. Guess we are only allowed 3 pillows for a king bed. Guess "any time" doesn't really mean any time... Place is in a great location if you're looking for a beach spot. Besides the pickup truck doing donuts at 9pm. Guess you get what you pay for.

Not what we expected. For $170 thought it would be nicer. If you are going to a wedding at the Wychemre you might not want to walk the path over there.... Unless you bring a flashlight for the walk back.

Hot showers with good water pressure and scrumptously clean towels, clean-smelling bar soaps, crisply made beds, and delicious food in the morning. Jim and Marie were excellent hosts, even taking the trouble to make us Earl Gray iced tea, the way we have it at home, merely by us mentioning that that is the kind we made. Breakfast included yogurt parfaits, fresh fruit salad and freshly baked breakfast pastry. This was served in a small, immaculately clean dining area which was set up cafe style with several small tables. Outside, a small, clean pool awaited those who preferred that to a beach swim. The grounds were manicured meticulously and included a slate-paved walkway to a labyrinth, a spiritual pathway that sits beside a small Ecumeical Catholic chapel called St. Mary of Magdala. Nearby, small fairy households sprouted up from the mulchbeds, and bees grazed in the herb blossoms.

FAMILY OWNED & FAMILY FRIENDLY B&B…read more HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: I have been visiting Allen Harbor Breeze Inn with my young family every June since about 2012. The B&B is family owned and operated by the always friendly Flora & Dick (with assistance from their daughter and son in law), and families with young children are welcomed. The Inn is beautifully situated among profuse gardens, and across the street from the scenic local marina. Continental breakfast is served each morning, including excellent scones home made by their daughter. Rooms are homey and well appointed. Harwich Port is centrally located near the "elbow" of Cape Cod, halfway between the western towns and Provincetown at the eastern tip. Our favorite restaurants near the B&B include Brax (Harwich Port) and the Chatham Squire (Chatham), and our favorite art gallery in the area is Tao Water Art Gallery (Barnstable). Happy vacationing!

It was charming, homey, and most importantly for us, quiet. Judy and Ray who are the owners have been running that inn for over 26 years. And Rachel (general manager) has been there for 4 seasons. They are just wonderful people, and always welcomed us every morning like your own mom and dad. Rachel is probably your cousin. The breakfast were all home made and delicious. One morning we had waffles with strawberries. Another morning a quiche. I drink a lot of sparkling water, and so HAPPY they had a machine to pour your own. Tenz! Tenz! Tenz! Tenz across the board. Thank you guys (especially the staff!) for being wonderful. We will come again for sure.

There was always PLENTY of complimentary water, tea, coffee and treats available throughout the day for all of the guests. The breakfast menu changes on a daily basis and was delicious. I still can't get over how amazing the orange, ricotta pancakes were! But really, the true highlight of our stay was meeting Judy and Ray (owners). They were so incredibly hospitable. Judy made us feel right at home the moment we met her. She's so nice, thoughtful and has a great sense humor! If you are planning to stay in Chatham, I highly recommend staying here. You will feel right at home.

We started with the raw bar: oysters, clams and tuna tartar. Then moved on to steamers and mussels. We finished with steak and swordfish. The kids then all banned together for a game of hide and seek in the dark while the parents relaxed with a night cap. It was a truly wonderful experience. A must do for anyone visiting the cape.

I had the lobster nachos and my husband had the swordfish sandwich, both were delicious! Fair warning the lobster nachos are huge and have a good deal of lobster on them! We sat by the beach so our son was able to play around in the sand and expel some energy while we waited for our food. Our waitress was amazing with him. When she brought out his mac & cheese, she called him up to eat, joking she was going to eat it if he didn't come quick. She saved us the hassle of attempting to get him up from the beach. She also took him to wash his hands before eating, as he had sand all over them. It was such a pleasant experience, with great food. I highly recommend Chatham Bars Inn for their food quality and service!

When I stayed they alternated days for sweet days and savory days. A sweet day might be waffles for example, but there is always eggs if you do not prefer sweet. The savory days were omelette with a choice of a variety of veggies and sausage, the side fruits were blueberries and strawberry, and toast rounded out the meal. I think they also had bacon but I passed and went full veggie. I had a tiny little balcony off my third story room. It didn't look fancy, but what a wonderful place to sit at night and enjoy a cool breeze. It was worth it for me. The shower was modernized and nicer than mine at home. The breakfast room is bright and pretty and a lovely way to start the day. If I returned I would choose a second story room as those were hardwood floors and the third floor was carpeting. The carpeting is new, but I prefer hardwood floors.
