I had Safe Auto Transport move my truck from Kentucky to California. The good news is that the truck arrived with no damage. The bad news is that the truck was missing parts. Two parts went missing that were in the front trunk: the tire repair compressor kit that was screwed down and the dual level charger. Upon receiving my truck, I asked the driver to add a note to the BOL (Bill of Lading) that the parts were missing. He said he did not know how, and asked me to sign. I refused. He called someone named Sam. Sam said he was busy eating lunch and that I should sign and he would update it later. I refused. They eventually updated the BOL stating the missing parts. However, upon calling Safe Auto Transport, they would do nothing about this. If you use Safe Auto Transport to move your vehicle, don't leave anything inside it, even if it is attached to the vehicle! read more

I had a good experience with Safe Auto Transport a few years ago. When I needed another car shipped I called them. This experience was not the same. I spoke to Sam who said he preferred using text to communicate. He sent me a quote to ship a car for. Ohio to California via text. He said the car would be picked up May 11 or 12 and would be delivered a week later. May 18 or 19. He wanted a deposit via Zelle and sent me the email to use. I sent the deposit and he confirmed receipt. i never got any documents or order number from Sam. The car was picked up on May 12 so I expected it on the 19th. On Monday the 18th I sent Sam a text and asked for a status update, he said he would check and get back to me. He never did. The following day I sent another text and got no response. I finally called the office and spoke to Max who needed the order number, which I didn't have. He was able to find the order and said he would check and let me know. I told him I was available Wednesday before noon and Thursday after 2pm. He said "we usually tell you when we deliver" but that he would see what he could do and get to me. He never did. I sent Sam a text and asked for an update. He said he also spoke to Max and didn't know why Max has not responded. On Wednesday about 3pm, Max called and said the car would be delivered Thursday between 8 and noon. I reminded him of our conversation the day before about my availability. He said they would deliver the car on Friday instead. That worked for me. On Thursday afternoon Max called and said the car would be delivered between 8 and 11 on Friday, perfect. At 11 on Friday, Igor called and said he was 40 minutes away but stuck in traffic. He finally arrived at 1230. The car looked to be in good condition with some tiny rock chips on the hood. Max had sent me a different email for payment than Sam used for the deposit. I sent payment using that email but it was not registeredbsonthenpayment would not go through . Igor would not leave until payment had been received. I sent Max a text and he was unsure what to do. In the meantime Igor said they will accept Venmo and provided that information. I was able to cancel the Zelle and use Venmo. Finally payment was received and Igor left. The big difference between these two transactions was a complete lack of follow through communication this time. Promises were made and not kept. Information kept changing. I don't know if this is the new industry standard, but it sure was frustrating. read more

My car arrived covered with bugs on the exterior (perhaps to be expected for a cross county trip, but really couldn't they have cleaned it?) and with mud all over the driver's side floor mat and on the rear left passenger seat. My experience with this company was middling to disappointing. This company was subcontracted by my home movers, so I did not have a choice regarding their hire. For pickup, I had been told to expect a call a day or two before pickup. it came at the very end of the day before the expected morning of pickup, and Art seemed put out that I needed to confirm a change in pickup address. A textbook example of 'failure to plan on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.' Also, the order was on the books for weeks - a pickup address change should have been addressed far sooner than confirmation of pickup call. The first pickup window was missed by a few hours. The end of the world? No. Annoying on top of the late notice and address change? Yes. Then it came time for delivery. I assumed I would get another heads up a day or two prior to delivery. Again, less than 24 hours' notice. When I texted back to confirm I would be present, I noted some of the above frustrations and suggested that we should not be charged an extra fee for items in the car, and instead of discussing options rationally, someone responded with "ok thats fine, we won't deliver your car then until you confirm you will pay the amount thats due" which was 150 higher than the initial quote. The complete disregard for anything approaching good customer service was astounding. The car was delivered fine, but the interaction with the company was entirely unpleasant and I would pick almost anyone else than do business with them again. read more

"Jake" of Safe Auto Trucking LLC (DOT 3829832 - MC01388861) 13512 Bustleton Ave., Apt. 5304 Philadelphia PA 19116 performed a "bait and switch" on me. We contracted for the transport of a vehicle for $980 and on the day of transport he said the price was now $1650 because his driver had health problems. He knew that the car was already packed up for a college move. When I let him know that I would report him, he used my credit card to give himself another $300. I called him to ask what on earth he was trying to do and he yelled at me and said he'd look into it tomorrow. read more

DO NOT--I REPEAT, DO NOT--Safe Auto Transport or Nest Auto Transport. They work together and are total scammers. A rate that initially started at $775 with a $275 deposit inflated to $2,455 upon delivery. They changed the amount owed THREE times between the date of pickup, June 23rd and June 30th, the day of delivery. On June 23rd I was told my price increased from $775 to $1750. They gave a bs story claiming the initial driver was using a 9 car-haul trailer and the 'new' one was using a 2 car-haul trailer making it more expensive. At this point I didn't know where my car was or who had it. The driver would not answer or return my calls. On June 24th AFTER making a $700 payment ($724.50 was charged to my card) I received an "Price and Payment" statement advising my total due was now $1050. At this time, I had already paid $975+ tax . I replied to their email asking them to revisit their math because $1,750-$975=$775. This was completely ignored. In the meantime, I was still trying to reach the driver, after 5 hours he finally texted me back saying, "I will call you tomorrow morning, i have very strict appointments for today." I didn't hear from the driver again until June 30th, he texted me stating, "Hello, I am scheduling the deliveries. Can you please call your broker and ask him to provide me the delivery clearance paperwork." I did as instructed and received an email from Next Auto advising I now owed $1,580. Remember, I had already paid $975 ($1,008.14 with tax). In the email the cost was broken down as follows: 1) $430 for 'Carrier Route Adjustments and they used FMCSA regulations 49 CFR 375.407 to justify the cost and 2) $150 for Earned Broker Compensation -- I was initially told my $275 deposit was the broker compensation fee and the remaining payments was due to the driver upon delivery.--- After some quick math and due diligence I learned that CFR 375.407 can only be applied after giving the consumer a formal notice and an agreement must be made BEFORE the company could just tack on the fee. My quick math told me that $430+$150+775 was $1,355. So, of course I questioned the extra $225 for?? *crickets* When I disputed these charges Chris, Harry, Victor... they ALL LIE and sound the same, so I don't know which one it was. Told me he wasn't feeling good about how this was going this was going and that the driver was acting fishy and I needed to call him. Miraculously, this time the driver answered... and he wasn't pleasant. He flat out told me that either I pay him the $1,480 in cash or I would never see my vehicle, that he would hide it somewhere. Fast forward because this is already LONG..local law enforcement comes out the driver LIES says he never called OR texted me. Claimed the number in my phone wasn't his. He got his 'boss' Paul from Safe Auto on the line and Paul slicked tongued law enforcement so good that he had them trying to convince me that Next Auto were trying to scapegoat the transport company and they were innocent. Well, I ALMOST believed them but they made a HUGE mistake. In sending the their Zelle information to my husband (because they REFUSED to take anything else, get this--because of scammers, *major eye rollage*) he also sent it to my phone number from the SAME number the driver claimed wasn't his. Unfortunately, I didn't notice this until after the Zelle was sent. Things of note...1) they claimed they had to use a different driver, but the number to my daughter on June 23rd with her vehicle loaded is same as the one that was texting me on June 30th. AND 2) According to Safe Auto Transport they picked her vehicle up from a storage facility not the mall, but photos THEY provided at the time of delivery shows THEIR transport at the mall. 3) the driver claims he never spoke with me, if we never spoke how did coordinate meeting for the delivery on the June 30th ..??? He's (Pavlo Sushch was the driver) Russian and his voice and accent are VERY distinctive. I think the two companies are in cahoots. Stay FAR Away from both Safe Auto Transport AND Next Auto Transport. They are scammers and predators of the worst kind. read more

Safe, fast and effective. Drivers remain in touch (ish) during the shipment and promises on the time of pickup/delivery are often accurate. The broker (Will) was responsive and attentive at first, but it decreased eventually probably because the car was being shipped by a different company than his. The price was not low ($1650 to ship from SF to NY) but I think it was worth it given that they took the car off the list of things to worry about for me. The driver who was waiting for me to pay him upon driving, was a little restless due to having more shipments to deliver, which made me a little nervous as my bank wasn't initially allowing the payment transaction but there was no malice at play. We needed to have my son's vehicle sent back east for him. Montway outsourced pickup to this local company. The vehicle was scheduled to be picked up on 01/04, it didn't get picked up until 9:30 at night on 01/06. We were told by the driver that he would be leaving Thursday 01/08 to go back east with the vehicle. The driver ended up not leaving with the vehicle until 01/10. We were told the vehicle would be delivered no later than 01/15. The driver contacted my son and said the roads were closed and he wouldn't be able to deliver until 01/16. Unbeknownst to the driver we had a tracker in the car and he was literally right outside where the vehicle needed to be dropped when he said the roads were closed. I attempted to contact the driver several times with no response, and contacted the company that advised me that have two days after the date promised to deliver (which was never told to us nor is that in writing) I even explained to the company that the driver promised a delivery date of 01/15 and was right there so it doesn't make sense. As of the writing of this (1/16) the driver still has not delivered the vehicle. Very unhappy with montway for outsourcing the pickup and using a company that seems shady and not very friendly. read more

On the day my van was supposed to be picked up, I hadn't heard anything and called and texted Adam with no answer. I called the company and they said he had a family emergency. I received this referral from a friend and I was pleased with this service. I did not read any reviews prior. I spoke with Alvin who was very helpful and assertive in the process. He communicated effectively with me. I wanted the cheapest route which was an uncovered truck from SC to CA. I inquired about an enclosed truck, was provided a price that was too expensive, but then Alvin was able to find me a driver of an enclosed truck with a decent price. I thought it would take two weeks, but it actually only took 6 days. I had to pay extra in order to delay the pickup date which was fine with me. although I was promised it be delivered on Thursday, the driver tried to deliver it on Wednesday. Also their contract makes you think you can put the whole amount on your CC but it is a COD. It dose not state that anywhere in the contract. It literally has your CC info right by where it states due on amount due on delivery. Very disappointing treatment for someone in a tough spot.
