The staff is friendly and the animals are so cute! They have a good variety of safari animals and plenty of them are calm and willing to come right up to your car for food! Careful though because some of them will try to take the entire bag of feed from you! My personal favorite was going into the parrot cage and feeding them.

    Cute llama

This was such a fun experience! We interacted with most of the animals on the safari (zebras, giraffes, llamas, alpacas, water buffalo, highland cows, ostriches, emus, and a camel). The birds were slightly intense for us, but overall it was such a great time and all of the animals were very sweet. The petting zoo was also really great!

We went here on an impromptu visit over Labor Day Weekend. Had no idea what to expect. As we got there late in the day, we learned we would be the last visitors and the park would close soon. This contradicted what the website said. If you have the means, use a pickup truck because it's easier to be in the truck bed and feed the animals than have them stick their heads in your car. Admittedly, I'm conflicted about how I feel about animals in captivity. I think these are slightly better than zoos and our kids had a good time. It might seem a bit pricey - and it is -- but I don't think people realize how much it costs to maintain a place like this. Apparently, if you get there earlier, you can drive the Park multiple times which might make it more worthwhile. In short, this is a once a year or when guests from out of town are visiting, not an every weekend activity.

If you're coming from Memphis like me, let me answer your first question: Should you visit this park or Tennessee Safari Park? I've been to both and it is an easy answer. Tennessee Safari Park. It may be a little longer drive but the animals and experience overall is much, much better. Next question: is this park worth a visit if you're just passing by? Well, it depends on your budget and expectations. It's not cheap. We spent over $100 for the 4 of us. And at the time and day we went, very few animals were eating. They were mostly lounging by the water or under the shade. We tried to shake our bags and get their attention but to no avail. And it's not like they were full from other visitors, because the park was empty. When I had asked the lady at the front if the animals were hungry and how many bags to buy all she would say was "they roam freely". I guess the owners taught her that response. It was 10 am on a Thursday, shortly after they opened. Again empty park. The feed bags were only 1/4 full. At $4 a bag it was quite expensive. Compare that with the Tennessee Safari Park where it's 4 large bowls filled to the brim for only $10. But ya know what, it didn't really matter how full the bags were at the end of the day, because the animals just weren't interested in eating. We bought 6 bags for 4 people and only went through 2. At the end is a very small petting zoo where you can get rid of the rest because the goats there are hungry. Also the birds were hungry for the additional $5 cup of nectar (1 free refill). The one nice thing is there were two giraffes that roamed freely. I don't know if that's always the case because we saw an enclosure saying $5 for giraffe feeding. But on the day we went the giraffes were roaming and we gave them a bunch of food. There's also a camel who is well mannered unlike the Tennessee Safari Park where the camels were aggressive. There's a cheetah in a cage somewhere along the safari drive. We had thought it was near the Petting zoo enclosure but it's not. We missed it during the drive apparently. I can't recommend this place, although I wish I could. But for our visit it was mostly a bunch of driving around looking at a few animals from a distance.

Wonderful outing for the kiddos and adults! Driving threw seeing and feeding all the animals is awesome. The animals are so gentle and friendly (except the ostriches) they will come into you windows and love on you

This place did not disappoint! It was absolutely fantastic! All of the animals were active, happy, and ready to eat! We went in the morning as soon as it opened, which is probably the best time to go. I would think the animals would be lazy as the day goes on and it gets warmer. We only went through once since we got to pet all the animals. I would definitely recommend it, and we will be back!

The grandchildren ages 6 and 9 enjoyed this adventure. They want to come back again. They loved the zebras and giraffe's.

Great place in the small town of Como MS! We spent around 4hrs here and had an absolute blast. Feeding the giraffe (can buy carrots for $4) is a lot of fun. The drive was amazing. There was way more animals than I expected considering how new this place is. I would advise taking a truck and letting the kids sit in the back. It's what we did and it made it that much better!!

    So cool

Went in August. 3 adults in a car having a blast! We wide the drive through safari and then the private Sloth tour. The sloth thing was imo too expensive and not worth it. Plan on going again. Just buy double the feed buckets because we ran out .

Omg! Where do I start!? I absolutely love animals of all types! This place gave me a different range of animal/ pets! Of course my family had an incredible time and didn't want to leave! There was a food truck, selling hot dogs and other small dishes inside of the safari park. The park was not overly crowded and it was a perfect adventure during this pandemic!!

I'm not sure how they have any negative reviews. We went at 1pm on a Sunday, it wasn't busy, just steady. I was nervous to spend the money and the animals not come up to me but I WAS WRONG! They were all up in our windows!! This is definitely worth the $16 tickets and the $3 bag of food! Make sure you come with napkins because they will definitely slobber all over you!

    Giraffe

Such a wonderful experience. My friend and I had an absolute blast. The variety of animals and the option to feed them is awesome. Great place for families, friends, and animal lovers.

Olive Branch Park is a wonderful place, and we are lucky it to have in our fair little town…read more I have spent a ton of time here over the past twenty years. From park slides and swing days with the kids when they were little, to adventures in the wooded trail in the hidden areas, softball games, Pokemon Go days, to parades, 4th of July celebrations, the list goes on and on. I've probably walked 500 miles or more on these trails. The trails around the park are fantastic. You meet so many great people on any trek around the park. They keep the ponds stocked well with fish and there is a dock that takes you out to the middle of the largest pond. Please pay attention to the catch limits though. There is a dog park, many covered pavilions, grills to use for cooking, a very cool, all inclusive playground for the kids, and tons of baseball fields. They do Christmas lights around the Holidays that are pretty. The police presence is always pretty high. There is usually a cop in the park at all times and they do not play if you step out of line here. I dig that. We are very lucky to have this safe space for all families to visit and have fun.
