    Warming up.

I have been wanting to see The Pavillion in person ever since it opened a year ago. After having the Tad Pad as the basketball venue since the 1960's, I was excited to see what replaced it. I parked on The Circle and then made the 3 minute walk to the beautiful entrance of The Pavillion. I like its largeness with the high roof and large windows. Walking in and looking at it all, I was impressed and realized that this is what Ole Miss needed so badly to be competitive in college basketball. The building is simply beautiful and while it is only slightly larger than the Tad Pad, it reflects so many improvements. Obviously you would expect improvements when there is a 50 year time frame between buildings. The concession options including a Steak and Shake and a Raising Canes along with The Rebel Grill concession stands serve the usual concession foods. The free Wi Fi works very well. I also got to see the 3 premium club areas which all modern arenas have nowadays. If you are a student, you can get some of the best seating in the house very near the floor at mid court. The video scoreboard at center court is large and easily seen. Acoustics were very good too. This is a very nice basketball stadium that any program would be proud of. Yes I do wish it was a little larger seating wise but understand the University's desire to keep all of the seats full and maintain a more intimate experience for the fan. Some of the larger basketball arenas really offer poor seating/viewing options for the fan. In this area of high def television, it is so easy to stay at home to watch the game. By keeping the arena small you more likely keep it full for games along with offering the ticket buyer a better view of the court. Ole Miss, welcome to the 21st century! Now, lets go out and win some games here! Hotty Toddy!!!

We attended the Surrender Yoga class with Heidi, and it was such a good experience. The class was relaxing but also really effective it opened me up and helped me stretch in ways I didn't even realize I needed. Heidi was calming, knowledgeable, and made the atmosphere feel welcoming. After class, we sat in the sauna for about 15 minutes, which was the perfect way to wind down. Before we left, my friend gave me a full tour of the facility. She showed me the different floors, the daycare area, locker rooms, pool area, pickleball courts, and the basketball court. Overall, it was a great experience, and the space felt clean, upscale, and well worth checking out.

The sauna is now closed and I went to an employee, Sam, and began expressing my concerns to the constant issues with the sauna. End of it Sam argued, didn't care and said it is my choice to be a member and I could find somewhere else. Sam doesn't understand I do my chemo treatment Monday afternoon and my routine includes coming to the gym for mind body and spirt before the infusion center. This is not about a sauna thing this is about a routine I've been doing for a year and some employee with zero care. Sam didn't know and doesn't care because Sam is all about Sam. Anyway end of the day Sam is right. I can choose any gym and just start a new Monday routine there. Please don't hire anymore like Sam. I just spoke to the manager who took time to hear me. Thank you for listening and hearing my words. She also shared with me her father's journey and hers as a caregiver. Real convo with a caring professional. As long as there is management in place like her this gym will only get better. Thanks lifetime and thanks Sam.

From park slides and swing days with the kids when they were little, to adventures in the wooded trail in the hidden areas, softball games, Pokemon Go days, to parades, 4th of July celebrations, the list goes on and on. I've probably walked 500 miles or more on these trails. The trails around the park are fantastic. You meet so many great people on any trek around the park. They keep the ponds stocked well with fish and there is a dock that takes you out to the middle of the largest pond. Please pay attention to the catch limits though. There is a dog park, many covered pavilions, grills to use for cooking, a very cool, all inclusive playground for the kids, and tons of baseball fields. They do Christmas lights around the Holidays that are pretty. The police presence is always pretty high. There is usually a cop in the park at all times and they do not play if you step out of line here. I dig that. We are very lucky to have this safe space for all families to visit and have fun. You will find a few picturesque bridges along the way and the trails are well defined and easy to navigate. This park is linked to the Germantown Greenway so, you can run/hike/bike here for miles. It is a beautiful park. The park has an adequate amount of spots to park in in its free private lot. You will find picnic tables and benches along the section of the park that runs along the lake, a very select few of which have a small shelter over them. I cannot confirm or deny if the lake is stocked or not, but there were a lot of people fishing there during my visit. One negative of the park, that it is out of its control is that certain of it areas are prone to flooding after a rain. It is nothing too bad though. This park is well maintained and is a diamond in the rough. I really enjoyed it. It lacks many of the amenities that I look for in a park, nut I took it for what it was, a nature trail park, and found enjoyment in that. It does not have any playgrounds and I could not find any restrooms. There aren't any other recreation activities either such as tennis, basketball or green space, but this park works and I highly recommend checking it out if you are looking for a nice place to hike or relax on a small lake.
