(If you see this, no offense Mom) If I had the time, I could write a review the length of Marcel Proust's, 'A la recherche du temps perdu.' But the Cliffs Notes version is this. This is a high end complex, but without the pretentiousness you would find in the North Shore and/or the upscale neighborhoods in Chicago. The facilities and amenities are all first-class, and everything is always clean like a five-star hotel. As for my unit itself, all of the appliances and furnishings are beautiful. Just as important, they did not cut any corners in terms of the walls and floors, so I do not hear any noise at all from my two next-door neighbors, or from the apartment below. Nothing major has ever happened since I lived here. But the very minor things like the specialty light bulbs needing replacing, Rey and Jason from the maintenance team have always come out the same day to take care of stuff like that. The area is perfect in terms of nearby shopping, restaurants, groceries, pharmacies, etc... Although living here is not cheap, dollar for dollar, this might be the best bang for your buck in all of Lake County. I do have some pause writing this, because Nathan (the property manager) might see it, and then raise my rent when it's time to sign my next lease. Please don't do it Nathan. Call or stop by the leasing office and ask for Stephanie or Katherine. You can thank me later. Much gratitude to the entire staff (and fellow residents) of The Atworth at Mellody Farm.

CONS: The $15 a month mandatory garage fee. Rent is extremely high per sq ft.$37+ per ft. The are hard nose about everything being done on their site (when it works). Signup was a nightmare. It took multiple attempts & multiple days with added stress -ugh. The whole signup & term process is too rigid. I would prefer to deal with a single owner vs corporate American.

BUYER BEWARE! We…read morepurchased a home owned by Results Realty and what a huge mistake we made trusting them. We were first time homebuyers and everything went well until the French drain that they were supposed to have repaired by a licensed plumber ended up failing and flooding our garage and finished basement. Casey at Results Realty tried to blame us for not taking care of the French drain and denied any responsibility. Needless to say we spend $10,000 and had the drain repaired. To our surprise we found out there was never a French drain to begin with-- just a shallow pit that quickly overflowed and flooded our house. The neighbors reported this happened all the time before we bought the house as well so this was not caused by our lack of care or attention in any way, shape, or form. Since they owned the property for at least 6 months I'm sure they were well aware of this as well. In addition to not having the drain repaired, they provided fraudulent receipts and no work was every done on the drain before we purchased it. Now we're stuck in this house wondering what else the seller lied about. We've already had to redo some of the other minor repairs from the addendum as well. If you are considering getting into any sort of business agreement with this company, think twice.

I have been in a living hell for 6 month since we bought one of those "Newly Remodeled" houses. Roof leakage, basement flooding, plumbing issues, sump pump issues (I already replaced both) - just to name a few from the long list. Everything in the house started falling apart. One thing after another. Even "newly stained" hardwood floor is going up and down while you walk on it. Seller put new dryer, but failed to change original broken dryer vent cover ($5.00). A bird got inside and died there. The smell was awful. We had to disassemble all vents in order to remove dead bird and disinfect pipes. New paint is chipping already. Words just cannot describe all the hell we have been through. From the unpleasant closing experience till now I try to understand how far people could go to lie and make a profit on someones expense. Be extremely careful when you will deal with remodeled/flipped house by Gold and Azen Realty. It might look nice on outside, however, there will be a lot hidden problems behind the walls. Water leak in the basement, crawl space, lower level. Check the roof, attic, garage. Get a very good inspector. Even better, get all the history what was done in this house. There is a difference on what permit was issued for and what was really done after inspector left. Warning! Do not fall for new appliances, Samsung has many recalls. Warning! If basement is finished and has carpet on the floor-run away! If they tell you they have other offers, walk away. Unfortunately, I didn't. We have a two-story townhouse with basement, almost 3,500 square feet, and our electric bill is very modest with a heat pump, usually around $100 per month in the summer for air conditioning and $200 per month in the winter for heat. The maintenance staff is very responsive and responsible: streets are salted before every snowstorm and plowed immediately thereafter. Driveways are plowed when there are two inches or more on the ground. Landscape maintenance is excellent with dead brush cleared out of the forest preserve, dead trees and shrubs replaced, new plantings provided to beautify the area. The HOA board is very oriented toward the rule of law according to the state statutes; every resident is given a fair hearing in cases of disputes or violations of the rules and regs. It's a peaceful place to live, raise a family, enjoy your pets and pursue lifetime sports and recreation.
