As soon as we stepped inside, we were greeted by a friendly bar staff and full bar top, with a few other people playing darts. We simply stopped in for a shot ($6), shared a brief conversation with the bartender and were in and out within 7 minutes - but those 7 minutes were wicked uncomfortable. No one, and I mean no one, was wearing masks or socially distancing - which is bonkers in a COVID world, but when in the middle of nowhere Wyoming, I'm not exactly sure what to expect.  While the vibe was relaxed and reminded me of being in my grandparent's basement, I not inclined to return.

Both places share the same kitchen. Bombers feature slots, many TVs, a full bar and a menu similar to Marty's. They have many specials, including a fantastic burger (with home made French fries) deal during afternoon happy hour, for $4.99! I huge plus for the bottle caps: those are fried battered jalapeno bites. The outside is crispy (hand battered), the jalapeno is melting in your mouth (it's fresh jalapeno, not pickled). Delicious. I would just stop by to order more of those! Staff is super friendly and helpful. Music can get too loud. Place offers a smoking/seating covered patio in the back. Recommended!

It seats less than 20 people (maybe 8 at the bar and 12 at high top tables). Big enough for a little elbow room and small enough to overhear some classic conversation. The beer was kind of warm, the selection was kind of weak, but the atmosphere was kind of cool. There's a "friend" board on the back bar where you can buy someone a drink and the bartender logs it on the board for next time they are in. A cosmic "I owe you one" of sorts and one helluva idea. There's a package store attached to run in and grab some suds and they also have a drive up window. I HIGHLY suggest parking your ride and going inside though. Go in. Make some new friends.

They have a row of taps, but only one kind of beer coming out of them (Bud Light), and slightly more choice in bottles. With a bit of back-and-forth I was able to procure a serviceable michelada. The place itself is kind of pretty - lots of wood on the walls, and at least one interesting piece of art involving cattle skulls. There's a front porch with very spartan benches, but it's almost superfluous because this is one of the few states where smoking is allowed indoors. The townie regulars are working-class people and (at least on the night I was there) mostly of the loudmouth barfly type - they talk a lot but don't say anything, though I suppose they're friendly enough, and they tolerate a stranger with more grace than this particular stranger is tolerating them in this particular paragraph. The best thing about the Pour House is that they have free wifi, and it's even pretty fast - so if you end up cooling your heels in Rock Springs, bring your laptop.
