I am utterly mortified. We had a party planned with 50 guests, and the restaurant was supposed to deliver and set up the food. Nobody showed up. Nobody called. After they were 45 minutes late, we called the restaurant. The person who answered seemed completely clueless and had to call the catering person and get back to us. By noon - when we were supposed to be eating - we called back because nobody had contacted us. The person on the phone sounded annoyed that we were even calling, and we were told they couldn't deliver or set up our food. We ended up dispatching two of our guests to go pick up food, which took over an hour with the round trip driving. Meanwhile, my guests were sitting around, hungry and frustrated, wondering what kind of amateur operation I had hired. I was utterly humiliated in front of my 50 guests when there was literally no food even two hours after it was supposed to be there. I've never experienced such gross incompetence and unprofessionalism. I have Sadaf to thank for turning what should have been a joyous occasion into a complete disaster. Even though we really like the food, there's absolutely no chance I'll ever come back here again. This was beyond unacceptable, and the sheer disregard for our event was appalling. Food is AMAZING!! Since I moved out of the Irvine area, I haven't found a good Persian food place until I found this one. I now frequent this place when in San Diego- Gaslamp district. My boyfriend is not a fan of Persian food but since he "wasn't hungry," I convinced him to join me while I ate. He's such a foodie so couldn't help himself, he had to "try it." In 10yrs., I have never seen him eat humus, naan (freshly made there), cucumber salad (shirazi), and the chicken kabob plate..... he pretty much ate most of my food. We visited this restaurent today arriving from Canada. We ordered a mix of different kebabs, filet Manion, Chicken kebab and Shish kebab. The food was amazing. Before the main course, we were treated with very delicious garlic herb bread which is hand made in the restaurent with yogurt cucumber. The staff were extremely hospitable. Mr. Luk and Ms. Zari were very welcoming and ensured that we had a great experience there. When I arrived to pick up order, I was told that I was not able to get what I ordered.
