The Persian salad! Delicious and enormous!

The food was delicious and amazing. The lamb kebab was superb. Much larger than I expected but I ate it all. The naan was so good too.

Unbelievably delicious food! We walked in without knowing anything about the restaurant and was so surprised with how incredibly scrumptious every dish was! I particularly loved the tagdig (crispy rice). The service was excellent as well!

Nice decor too!

The best Persian food I have ever had, and I've had plenty. They serve huge portions for a very reasonable price. We ordered mix grill for two, but you could definitely feed three people with it. Bread is made on premises, fresh and hot out of the tandur (oven) The owner Abid is super nice, down to earth and very welcoming. The rest of the staff is great as well. Wish they had a restaurant in the US too :)

A different take on Persian cuisine. The meals here are great, their meat is a deal more 'clean' tasting - far more citrus based than the average Persian place - it's all very good quality. Very friendly staff, great desserts, and the bread is great and made in front of you from scratch [this is a Persian place after all - have to mention the bread!]. As is the tried-and-tested measure of a restaurant - if Persian people eat at a Persian restaurant, it's worth a look - this place always has full tables. Bayswater/Queensway is practically at bursting point with it's restaurants - with that in mind, Sadaf is one of the few worth visiting in the area.

I've tried a few other Persian places in the area, but Sadaf is my absolute favourite. The only tough part is actually getting a table. Its easier to be seated quickly if you arrive for lunch rather than dinner. Service is efficient, but in the evening it gets a bit slow while they juggle home delivery and deliveroo orders too. They have recently started offering pomegranate syrup and hot sauce as default condiments on the table. Try the syrup on any of the meat dishes, it adds a lovely flavour. I love the mixed starter sampler. They make a very good kishk badenjan and salad olivieh. For mains my favourite is the zereshk pollo - berry pulao and chicken cooked in a tomato gravy, with extra gravy on the side. I'm not a big fan of the biryani because it has a lot of mixed peppers and vegetables in it, which is very weird for my Indian palate. Their kebabs and fish are a good bet too. And definitely order their fresh plain or sesame naan. They are awesome when eaten fresh out of the oven. If you like your food spicy, they offer a green chilli paste that's complimentary and much much better than the bottled hot sauce. Finish with a black tea with mint to help digest all the food that you have eaten. They come in beautiful Turkish tea cups. The latest ones have a evil eye diffuser print on them.

A lot of food on the plate, and it was all so good.

As a fellow Persian, I have eaten Persian food in a lot of cities, and the food at Sadaf is right there in the top. Excellent service, friendly people and the most important, the food was delicious! If you're in London, you have to visit Sadaf.

We split a chicken kebab platter and hummus with naan and neither disappointed in the slightest.
