The service is fast, and they offer online ordering and have a drive-up window - great for introverts like me. Sad Boyz was worth the hour drive. We intended to do brunch & order breakfast sandwiches but the smash burgers looked so darned good we couldn't resist. This is a cute little spot on the other side of the Pine Barrens for us. The place was busy. It's small inside but they have a drive through as well. Service was quick and friendly. We ordered 3 smash burgers with everything on it and a big pile of fries. The burgers were huge. They were fresh, hot and delicious served on a big brioche bun. One of the best burgers we have ever had. Definitely recommend this hidden gem and we will be back to try the breakfast sandwiches some time. read more

Drove through Tuckerton on my way to an Eagles game. Such a cool little spot and the staff were great and friendly. I had the FML on a Kaiser roll two days in a row and it did not disappoint. I'm sure at this point that I've been to Sad Boyz about a dozen times without reviewing. It is consistently delicious. Those crisp, lacy edges of their smashburgers are a go-to. If my husband asks me where I want to go, it's one of two places I think of that I know I will consistently get a great meal that will make me happy. This woman is super particular and definitely b!tches when I go out for a burger since "you could just make it at home the way you like it." That's why Sad Boyz is special. I can't actually make it at home. I was a little worried about inviting her since she's so particular, but she came to meet us for my son's birthday lunch (it's a special spot for him and me). Lo and behold, she loved it enough that she said she would even come back another time on her own. You don't understand what that means because you haven't lived with this lady as your mom for 49 years like I have, but that is a Michelin star-level endorsement. We will keep coming back, and I frequently tell others to pop by one their way down to AC. Aside from the delectable smashies, my kids have enjoyed the fries, cheesesteaks, chicken cheesesteaks, and my picky daughter (who very obviously takes after her grandma) always gets an everything bagel and cream cheese. Our vegetarian friend raves about the beyond smashed and fries. We haven't been for breakfast, but I am certain it would be slammin'. Sometimes I worry that we won't get a spot to sit, and I'm not an al fresco kind of gal. Miraculously, there's always a seat, even when it's hoppin'. I love watching the open kitchen. Found this place by accident while driving on Rt 9. Speaking of a hole in a wall, this place would be a perfect example. Starting with clean and modern dining area, open kitchen... First time trying stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday around 11am. Not crowded sat right down at inside counter. Ordered a smashburger sad boy style with fries and a chocolate shake. What surprised me the most was the size of the burger. At was at least 50% bigger round with their homemade buns than say 5 Guys for example. Sad style had some roasted peppers and a special sauce that added a little heat and a lot of flavor. The fries were okay, not a fan of seasoned fries personally, probably skip those next time.
