I am so grateful that I was referred to Susie at Highland Ink last summer!…read more I am working on repairing a 1/2 sleeve tattoo that was not coming out to my desires. Upon meeting Susie and checking out her shop I realized that I had hit the Tattoo Jackpot!! Susie is a super nice person and ubbbber talented artist using state of the art equipment~ her attention to detail and work is stunning!! After only 4 appointments I consider Susie a good friend and I admire her tenacity and courage to go for her dreams and be true to herself! Highland Ink is a super clean and cute shop in SC with awesome energy where Susie is a solo artist - which in and of itself is a gift! When you are with Susie there is not a crowd of other people or other artists hanging out - which for me is priceless!

I wanted a fairly large thigh tattoo, I went in, had the design agreed upon, agreed on a price,…read morepaid the deposit/signed the agreement. I was told the tattoo would take 6-8 hours, which I agreed to. I attend my appointment, PAID MY TATTOO PRICE IN FULL - I was able to get the outline done, but was told he couldn't finish (he had said he had a long night the night before and was tired) I was okay with this, and rescheduled to come back in (this had to be a few week out due to healing) I again, arrive to my scheduled appointment, and start getting ink, within 30 mins he stops, says he's having chest pains and needs a break, i go outside to give him space, h then tells me he cannot finish the tattoo. I leave, feeling sorry for him, only to reach out several times for him to finish his work, no response. I believe he felt like the work was worth more than HE told me, that I paid for in full, and he had no intention of completing. Now, i have a outline of an unfinished tattoo, that i paid for that i have to find someone else to complete. Beyond frustrating.

Desperately needed to get my nails done and stumbled onto this salon. Was greeted immediately and…read moresat promptly at station 11. Came in for a dip powder manicure. The salon appeared clean and tidy. I'm not usually a fan of salons that make me soak my nails in warm acetone. It's just so harsh on my skin, so I was a little skeptical. I prefer the soaked cotton balls and foil method. It was still better than the peeling off method I've seen- yikes! I saw on reviews they have drinks available, like water, sodas and margaritas. I wasn't offered one. Maybe you're suppose to ask? Once it got down to it, my tech was very meticulous and really gentle with my nails. No flicking, tugging or pulling my fingers. She was very cautious with the electric drill and didn't cut me! (Big plus!) She listened to what I wanted and I'm happy with the shape and color. Afterwards, she gave me a brief massage. There is a 3% charge for debit and credit payments. May want to grab cash before going to save some money. My dip mani cost $45. Would say it's reasonable, especially for such a job well done.
