* UPDATED * Michael…read moreis STILL the only massage therapist who literally fixes me every single time. I have looked and tried others and there is just no one better. Simply the best myofascial therapy I have experienced, nationwide. Most recently I pulled my back and wasn't able to stand up straight. I remembered Michael's advice to me - ice and then heat. After a few days I was ready for an in-home massage. Two hours later, I felt renewed of body and mind. Michael is always professional, kind, good-humored, and thorough. I suggest you take a hot bath before he works on your in your home, and then plan for a day of napping and relaxing after. There is no one better. -- Michael is the only massage therapist in ten years who has been able to relieve me of my chronic back pain. He is a skilled and intuitive professional. I used to experience pain on a daily basis and had limited mobility and range of motion. My back pain has decreased to almost nothing - after seeing Michael I usually enjoy several weeks with no pain at all. My sciatica has disappeared. Additionally, Michael's lymph drainage massage has boosted my immune system significantly. I have been suffering from back pain for over ten years. Western medicine called it 'facet syndrome' and 'fibromyalgia', and said there was nothing that could be done about it. Other body workers tried to massage the area and that always resulted in migraines. I don't know what I would do without a monthly massage from Michael - it's the best self-care practice and worth every penny!

The hot tub is incredible, but it is co-ed nude, which I don't mind, but be aware before you go (the owners do tell you that in advance). The massage was the crown jewel. Jacqueline (I'm unsure of how to spell her name) was INCREDIBLE. I love how she started off the massage letting me smell all of the essential oils she was going to use, and then her hands are MAGIC. She was the first therapist who told me that my left trap was tighter than my right and to sleep more on my right side, and paid so much attention to all the places I needed extra care instead of just doing the regular fare. I felt like I was in such good hands, and she gave me a hug right after Truly a transcendental experience, and I'm so sad I don't live closer so I'd be able to go every month. Once I do go up to Mendocino, they'll be my first stop!

We were so excited when we found healing arts and it had good reviews. I booked a prenatal massage for myself and a deep tissue massage for my husband. We were scheduled with Stephanie and Joann, respectively. When we arrive to healing arts about 10 minutes prior to our massage, we were never greeted by anybody. Eventually, a lady came out and told us they would be right with us. They ended up taking my husband and I back about 15 minutes after our scheduled massage time. While we were waiting, we could overhear women in the back discussing how a prenatal massage works and what can/ can't be done for pregnant women, which made me a little nervous, but I was still optimistic that it would be a good experience. During my massage, unfortunately, I suffered a terrible hot flash!! Stephanie handled it like a champ, turning off the table warmer, opening the window, and bringing me a cold compress and some water. I was so appreciative of how she handled it all because I was embarrassed. My massage ended up being very nice and relaxing, just what I needed. My husband also said his massage with Joann was awesome as well! Would definitely come back here if we were ever in the area.
