They've ranged from classics to experimental and from dramas to musicals. While the shows obviously vary in quality, I've always enjoyed them and been impressed by the acting. Compared to other community theater I've been to, this is a notch above. The building itself has an intimate and historical feel. It was built in 1934 in a Mediterranean style. The seating is a bit worn and may be cramped if you're a larger person but the acoustics are great and the sight lines are good from everywhere. There's not a bad seat in the house. There are snacks and drinks for intermission and, as has become increasingly common, you can pre-order. The bathrooms are in the building next door but it's a very short walk. All in all, a charming little theater with good plays.

Like other Eichlers, the building is abnormally and deceptively low to the earth with a wide sturdy footprint. The post and beam construction allows for larger windows and long-lasting durability. On closer approach you begin to notice a masterclass in natural, intimate lighting. You cannot go into the Montessori space unless your child is attending but if you ever have a chance to go into and Eichler you will be shocked by how well lit the inside is and how different natural light gradients make the space feel large, light, and comforting. I took a picture of an empty room and you can see how awesome the natural lighting is. The pool has a newer clubhouse designed in 2018 that complements the old community center in design. It has more modern bathrooms and changing facilities. The pool has a membership fee but it is clean and well maintained. You can't access the interior publicly so not worth coming unless you are a architecture diehard.

At 6:00 a.m., we were woken by extremely loud, continuous banging from the JCC field--noise intense enough to sound like someone breaking down our door. Although the JCC was contacted, and has been contact multiple times before, the disturbance pattern continues. This behavior has occurred multiple times and reflects a clear repeated offense, not an isolated incident. For a facility operating in a residential neighborhood, this level of disregard for city noise ordinances and neighboring residents is unacceptable. The JCC has demonstrated an ongoing failure to manage its activities responsibly. It is rude and against the law according to Palo Alto Police.

We hosted a Celebration of Life event here, and everything went very smoothly. The rental cost was…read morevery reasonable too. The grounds and the El Palo Alto room were very clean and tidy. All staff members were very helpful and kind. They have a loading dock straight to the back of the kitchen for easy decor and catering loading. Ceiling projector worked perfectly, and AV was easy to hook up. The ceiling speakers had a weird echo and were difficult to hear, so I recommend bringing your own speakers if you're hosting a large event. We were able to set out round dining tables for nearly 170 guests for lunch, and there was plenty of space for everyone, plus a buffet line, bar, beverage station, and some activity stations. They had plenty of furniture for us to use - all of it was kept in great shape, and easy to set up. The automatic roller shades were easy to use, and the AC worked great once we had the correct temperature and settings dialed in. Our event was on a very hot day in August, but the room was very comfortable. The facility coordinator John was amazing and super helpful for our day-of setup and teardown needs and questions.

I enjoyed this because when I was 18, I had discovered from my grandpa that I'm part Hopi. It would be nice to be more involved in my culture, but this was a great cultural fix. Cute booths with beads, art and we ran into a wolf conservation booth. They looked so beautiful. Not often I get to see a wolf up and close. I'm very happy Stanford does this once a year.
