We used to drive ALL the way to Sacramento for our cannabis needs. We are so grateful to have somewhere local to go now. They honestly have a better selection than the dispensaries we are used to,and their prices are even better. The budtenders are all very knowledgeable of their products and very helpful. If you have any cannabis needs I'm confident they will have what you are looking for, we generally just get flower, but from time to time we will also get the disposable vapes, or gummies (they have our favorite brand, Drops).

But honestly, that wasn't a dealbreaker since I was mostly there for carts and gummies anyway. What really rubbed me the wrong way... and the reason for the 3-star rating, was the attitude from the person helping us. My mom is new to vaping, and I already knew the battery style she'd like (and more importantly, the kind she wouldn't). The store had one option, and I politely said we'd skip it and use one I already have, one I personally use and love. Instead of accepting that, the staff member started making snide comments like, "Oh, if you want that cheap one..." and "You might not get a good high with that bad one..." over and over, even after I explained why I was choosing it. Let's be clear: I was still buying several cartridges and edibles. It's not like I was walking out empty handed. I just didn't appreciate being low key judged over a battery choice I know would work best for my mom. If we hadn't driven 30 minutes on my mom's birthday to check this place out, I honestly would have walked out without buying anything. Her comments soured the whole experience. Suggestion? Train your staff to read the room. Educate? Sure. Recommend? Absolutely. But repeatedly calling someone's preference "cheap" after they've already made their choice? That's not it. Everyone shops differently, and no one wants to be shamed at the register. Cute store, fun branding, and good products. But the vibe from your staff matters just as much and hers completely ruined this experience for me.

I was welcomed by Daisy, one of the managers at Cool Consultations, who was very kind and helpful. She had me fill out a brief questionnaire and I waited less than 5 minutes to be called back. Once I was in the back office I was greeted by Bobby who was so full of information regarding the benefits of marijuana as medicine. Bobby is also well versed in many of the legal aspects of the marijuana issue. He recorded my height, weight, vitals and took a detailed medical history from me. I brought medical records of my own to share with the doctor. After my visit with Bobby I was led back to see the doctor, AN ACTUAL DOCTOR, AN M.D.! I had not seen an actual doctor in order to obtain my recommendation since I saw Molly Fry, M.D. in 2007. Crystal Speller, M.D., the new owner of Cool Medical after Molly Fry, M.D. left, took over the clinic and I have 6 years worth of recommendations from her yet I have never even seen her! And now her license is on probation; I am not surprised. My visit with Dr. Mikurya was pleasant and thorough. She took the time to consider my records and asked me for additional information. I left with my recommendation and some very good advice from Dr. Mikurya. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Rasmussen who also sees patients at the clinic. Unlike most other clinics, Cool Consultations WILL provide personal usage information and plant number recommendations. From start to finish my experience with Cool Consultations was stellar! The office is called Cool Consultations and is located in Cool, CA behind Timberline Realty (not the one by the post office in Cool). Cool Consultations is owned by Dr. Beverly Mikuriya who is the sister of the late Dr. Tod Mikuriya. Dr. Tod co-authored Prop.215 and was California's first Medical Marijuana Doctor. The office is managed by Bobby and Daisy Eisenberg, a lovely couple who have had years of experience in working with marijuana doctors. They are extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of medical marijuana issues most importantly those matters surrounding the local and state guidelines that every patient should be aware of. The care I received at Cool Consultations was unsurpassed by any other location I have ever encountered. This office is not a mill. The atmosphere is comfortable and I was afforded all the time I wanted. After filling out some paperwork regarding my history, Bobby Eisenberg spent time with me to answer any questions I had outside of my medical conditions. He recorded my weight, height, temperature and blood pressure. Bobby then discussed the current trends regarding guidelines and some of the legal cases that were going on currently. It is good to know someone who is on top of these things. He works with his county supervisors as a patient advocate and it made me feel good to know I have someone on my side. I really found this to be amazing as I had never encountered anyone quite like Bobby before. I then was introduced to the Doctor who was a very pleasant gentleman and a Doctor I found to be quite knowledgeable. He discussed my medical conditions with me and gave me some insight on what I could do to help with my ailments. So, not only are they there to help you get a recommendation to use medical marijuana legally but they actually care about your health and give you advice to make yourself well. Such a blessing! i have been to 420 Physicians before. i had gotten my card from them last year. it was a…read moreproblem-free experience, so i returned this year, when it was time to renew. i made my trek to Antioch to the address listed. surprise! they moved. they are now at 2400 Sycamore Drive- Suite #19. they also changed hours from what is listed on yelp. Saturdays are by appointment only. surprise again! my card expired on Saturday, so i had hoped to renew. i guess i'll just have to go in again on Monday. i just wish this information had been updated on this site, so i didnt waste a trip to Antioch. but other than these small missteps, i really like the convenience of the clinic. and the employees are friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. i probably could have avoided my slight problem by calling first. lesson learned.
