It was my first time in this cozy coffee shop - a whole variety of hot and cold drinks, and freshly…read morebaked and cooked foods in house. Service was very good, table service and friendly. I had an egg nog latte, and a raspberry bar. Before we left, one of the staff brought a freshly made chocolate oatmeal cookie - OMG, it was so tasty and fresh and warm!!!! A nice place I want to visit again to taste other drinks and baked goods.

There have been a number of quaint cafes in this location, some good and some not so good. This is…read morethe current iteration and it's very good. As we walked in the friendly owners offered us a sample of a fresh donut and pointed to the chalk board for the menu. There isn't a huge variety of menu items but that's good because a small cafe can't make dozens of different dishes and make them all good (or affordable). You can order soup, sandwiches, wraps, and lots of different pastries because it is a bakery cafe after all. We both ordered the breakfast sandwich. It's a lot bigger than it looks. There were certainly two eggs in each sandwich and maybe even three plus some ham and sauces. On this extremely hot July day the cafe's air conditioning was just what we needed. We did order coffee on this hot day because we hadn't had our coffee fix yet today. The coffee was very good. If you are looking for breakfast or lunch or just a treat to go, I recommend Shekinah. Oh and there are lots of tables too.

Stopped by The Grind for a quick visit and can definitely see why it's such a local hot spot --…read morethere was steady foot traffic the whole time we were there! Despite being busy, the wait for food wasn't bad at all, and the café had plenty of staff who were all very friendly and welcoming. We ordered their famous carrot cake, a hot chocolate, coffee, and two everything bagels with cream cheese, which came to $29.80 -- pretty reasonable for a café stop. The food itself was good and satisfying, even if not something I'd necessarily write home about. I'd be really interested in coming back to try their sandwiches next time when we have more time to stay. The atmosphere is cozy and a little cluttered in a charming way, with lots of things to look at that give the space personality. Overall, a nice spot for a casual coffee break or quick bite while in Hinton!

There were no prices on the menu or on the website…read more Website advertises fresh home baked goods, but my $11 breakfast bagel was made from a bag of great value bagels that the employee came out of the back kitchen with. The egg was really dry. Kind of like it was frozen and then microwaved. My husband got a bagel with cream cheese for $5.75. It was mediocre at best. Would have rather gone to Tim Hortons. The pumpkin muffin was good but overall not happy with the misleading advertising and overpriced low quality food.

We recently visited Rojo Marrón and had a really great experience overall!…read more We ordered the fish tacos, beef street tacos, and the "Espropapa" (definitely not spelling that right ). The Espropapa was honestly a standout -- absolutely delicious. The chipotle dip that came with it was AMAZING, and the presentation was a 10/10. The potato was sliced into a spiral and served on a stick, which made it both fun and visually impressive. The fish tacos were also excellent. They were cooked perfectly, full of flavour, and topped with fresh vegetables. The chipotle mayo sauce paired with them was sooo good and really brought everything together. The beef street tacos were still very good and not dry at all, but compared to the other dishes they were slightly underwhelming. Still enjoyable, just overshadowed by how strong the other items were. Service was great -- our server was friendly, loved to chat, and checked in on us regularly without being overbearing. They even brought out a bucket of different sauces labeled with spice levels, which was a fun touch and let us customize the heat. The decor was very Mexican-themed and added a lot of character to the space. The tables looked a bit worn, but honestly it added to the overall style and vibe rather than taking away from it. Overall, a really enjoyable meal with great flavours, fun presentation, and welcoming service. Definitely worth a visit!

Casual, local, Mexican joint. Great spot to avoid the tourists. Kinda hidden but nice and quiet…read more Super nice that they have both gluten free and veggie options. For veggie options they are able to do falafel and sautéed mushrooms for almost anything. We got the: Veggie Enchiladas- super homemade flavor! Wasn't a fan of the rice flavor or texture but the beans and enchiladas were amazing! 8.5/10 Chipotle Chicken tacos- AWESOME flavor!! 10/10 mushroom tacos- Something super different! Never have had pickled onions on tacos and I loved it! 10/10 And Picalado latte with no sugar - UNEXPECTED AND BEAUTIFUL latte art! Decent coffee for the area! 9/10 The server was super friendly and was great with our questions! Would def come here again! Probably some of the best food you'll get in this area!
