I showed the waitress and manager the picture and they didn't recognize it. I can't fault the restaurant for false advertisement, but I can fault the magazine. The only reason I went to the restaurant is due to the article. Please stop your false advertising. You are only hurting the business. I will be canceling my subscription. I don't want to waste any more time driving out of town to be handing something I did not expect. The restaurant is great and doesn't deserve this.

Ok, so how many freaking times can you devote an entire issue of magazine to FOOD. How many times? Well, if you're Sacramento Magazine, roughly 10 issues a year. "Best Hamburger in Sacramento," "Top 10 Places for a Romantic Meal." "Top 14 Restaurants In the South-Westish Corner of Suburbia Sacramento." WTF. There's so much more here than FOOD! And then they did the wedding issue. They interviewed several of us who gave more than enough material to write an informational story on getting married in Sacramento. What did they do? Well. They gave that entire section to House of Fashion, which I imagine paid them supremely to do so. And if you really wanna know about House of Fashion, you can see my review on that hellhole, too. I cancelled my subscription to this magazine about 6 months after starting it. Get a clue, Sacramento Mag. No one gives a damn about yet another "benefit," and "Who's Who" around Sacramento. Cripes, I get more info on Sacramento from Yelp than I do your ad-ridden pile of paper.

When staying the people at Guest Service Desk say go ahead and take, how something House Keeping replaces when they cleaning the rooms! As far, I like call it Scavenger Hunt of our capitol town Sacramento, I got most the autographs in Down Town area, all in Old Sacramento And Bridge District, some in the Mid Town And Sutter District! I had read not remember where how many the merchants email the author say they feel really honored when people ask for the autograph on the appropriate pages! I have even tried someplace call CAFE BERNARDO on the page, wow! Thank you for a wonderful book! I guessing most are hotel guests as I seeing price is thirty dollar before tax, that be about thirty three give or take with tax? Mostly the Down Town area and Old Sacramento And Bridge District as these all are walking distance of Sheraton Grand Sacramento 1230 J! One place think call Maya Huel, met the owner! He signed that page and the next page as he say he owns both the restaurants! Another call Chocolate Fish Coffee, obviously not touristy area! I try a healthy green tea! Not touristy, went in a nursing home ask their Security person how get there! Thank again for a wonderful book! For me been good way learn of our capitol town Sacramento by doing equivalent of Scavenger Hunt! Karyn C Yay home town Oakland

They talk, read, study, meet up, and exist together for a while. There's a different energy here that makes you want to slow down and be part of it. I love this place!!!!! There's more than just coffee and books here; there's a little community. There's a bulletin board filled with flyers for local happenings, book clubs, celebrations, etc. I came here one weekend to study and it, thankfully, wasn't too busy. The cashier was friendly and welcoming, there's WiFi, and a fair amount of seating. I can see this place getting packed during peak hours. One thing I noticed right away was a small book club meeting happening near where I was working. It helped me relax while I was focusing on my work! I think that's why so many of us like working in coffee shops... you can be alone while still feeling connected to other people around you. I'll definitely be back, not just for the coffee, but for the genuinely welcoming atmosphere. Thanks !

I originally went into find a book called before the coffee gets cold and ended up finding another selection that was recommended by one of the staff members called hot chocolate on Thursday. Once I had made my purchase I decided I wanted to really be immersed in the space and in one of my pictures you can see that I got a iced coffee with a blueberry scone. Both of the food items were perfect. The coffee had an amazing taste to it and the scone was unbelievably like perfectly buttery and not overly run by sugar even though it had sugar on it it just was perfectly balanced. The thing that I really enjoyed about this bookstore though was that it made me feel safe. I am part of the lgbtq+ community and being there made my soul and heart happy. I was surrounded by my community and I could tell just how happy they were. There was a group of folks in the middle tables starting to get ready for a small event it look like an art drawing event. The way they talked with each other and just the smiles they had on their faces made me smile so big. This place is a true gem within the area and if you ever have a chance to come in here to just be in a space of warm and belonging please do. And like I said the food they provide is super tasty and they have an array of selections regarding books and they can even order stuff online for you if they don't have it for pick up later. Hands down really really love this place.

Later in the day I went to Cards and Comics to pick up some cards. Baseball cards in the 80's and 90's are not like today. I was confused and didn't know where to start or what to buy. Brad was so very helpful. He took his time to explain the different packs. The different series. When the next series will be released. What to look for. Not only did he educate me on baseball cards in 2024. He made me sound really cool to my son when I got home and talked cards with him. With Brads guidance. I picked up a couple packs. When I presented them to my son later. He was so stoked. But to my surprise. Brad had tossed a hand full of other cards on the bag and protective sleeves. A huge thank you to Brad at Cards and Comics. This is a great example of why supporting small businesses is important. The big box store would have provided cards (the set was more expensive at then big box store) but they would not have provided the service and the personal approach to helping their customers. I will forever think of the excitement of my son opening these cards and appreciate Brad for helping me. I wanted to note. That while I was in there for baseball cards. There were all sorts of cards. There was other kids and parents were joyfully looking at cards and items. Highly recommend this awesome local business.
