Thank You Yelp
Eric S.

What an awesome show today, I once when to 40 Sac Ballet shows in 3 months back in 2012. (23 Nutcrackers Performances). Well thanks to Yelp,.I got to go to today's show with my wife, Rich L and his grandson. The first performance was "In The Warmth of Winter" was amazing seeing all the dancers in sync shows how much practice they put into making this show. In the second performance "Among the Cypress" Dancers Julia Feldman and Chris Nachtrab made this part of the performance awesome, their grace and poise made this one not to miss. The third performance "Incident at Blackbriar" was my FAVORITE. Alexandra Cunningham, Ava Chatterson and Stefan Calka all work GREAT together. They all have been dancing together for a few years now and they really know how to make it shine. The 4th performance of the day was "Keep Me Wishing in the Dark." Sad to say it was the last part of today's performance. It was pretty interesting seeing all the dancers in dress like outfits, But it looks like they didn't have any problems performing in them. The choreography was amazing. If you ever get a chance to see this show, I recommended you go see it. I can't wait for the 2016 performances to be announced. Get in there and watch one of Sac Ballet's performances.

Kim's little homey cottage is located right next to the Sierra 2 Center in East Sacramento and there is street parking available. The class for my daughter's age group is on Tuesdays from 5-7pm with 1 hour being for singing/voice lessons and the other 1 hour being for dance lessons. There are 4 classes a month essentially for under $200. Kim was very professional and great with the kids! It was fun to see new and returning students in her class and to see who was comfortable and who was still coming out of their shell. My daughter had a great time at the trail class, but she currently does another activity on Tuesdays so the class for her age group isn't a good fit for us right now, but we hope to come back and join Kim's class in the future. Rize All: Where quiet kids dance!…read more We came in with our nervous, quiet kid who surprised us when he decided to join a hip hop class. Ms. Mona and Julia welcomed him with positivity and kindness, helping him feel comfortable in minutes. As soon as class started, he was grooving! As performance day arrived I feared he would lose confidence but he jumped on stage with a HUGE smile and pride! Rize All isn't just about dance--it's about confidence and pure joy. P.S. If you're on the fence--do it. What have you got to lose?

Parking is typically pretty easy to find in the large shopping center they're in. We signed her up for their once a week introduction to dance class. She loved her classmates and instructor and wanted to do their recital in June. The class provided a lot of valuable life lessons. She learned and had several things reiterated: confidence, human kindness, paying attention, respect, responsibility, timeliness, and trying your hardest. Their waiting room is exceptionally small, and they prefer you drop off and pick up your child after class. Unfortunately, that's not realistic for her due to some separation anxiety issues, but we'll continue working on it. Starbucks and Walgreens are both within walking distance for those who are able to drop off their child or children. They sell a variety of ballet and dance apparel and shoes. The recital costumes were reasonably priced and absolutely gorgeous. Tickets were also reasonably priced, and the show was well planned and executed. Our daughter's dance partner bailed on her before the second show, and her instructor Mona helped instill the confidence in her to perform a solo rendition that she did a fantastic job with. She's excited to begin class again in August after soccer is over and to perform again in December's recital.

It fell into this repair and came very close to being torn down, but thanks to community support, it was renovated and reopened in 1996. It is on the national register of historic places. Over the years, it has had so many events. Circus shows, high school, graduations, concerts with everybody from "Weird Al" Yankovic, to Cheech and Chong, to Cher. They've held lots of boxing matches over the year, and back in the 70s, they would hold matches for "big-time wrestling." I loved to watch that show as a kid. I saw a few of their shows up in Humboldt County, but I would've always loved to see the big shows down here.. The remodel they did when they reopened it, followed by another remodel around 2018 or so, and the building is just in beautiful shape. The seats are comfortable, the sound is good, everything is great. I was here today for a memorial day commemoration, and they did just a beautiful job. I'm glad they were able to see this beautiful building, and I will continue to be back. Thank you.

If I was given a review about the artist, it would be a five out of five however, I have to give it on the venue . If I wanted to take my mom with me, I would be forced to buy more expensive tickets because there's no way for her to get to the top of the seats . I don't feel like somebody that has a disability or is unable to walk should be penalized and have to pay extra money for a ticket to be downstairs . It does say that if you have restrictions, you can call or email however that doesn't allow you to know will you have to sit by yourself or will you be able to sit with your party? Clarification on, things would be helpful. I did not know that there was no assigned seating until a couple days prior it left me asking for PTO the day of which my job was not thrilled about, but that's not the reason for the low rating. It would definitely be because all I could think of is what about people with disabilities? How are they supposed to come and enjoy this Christian concert Along with any of us. If you're going to a concert, please make sure that you allow yourself two hours to get there ahead of time. Please note that the line will be extremely long. We had VIP to get there at 5:30 the problem is if you have a huge group you'll continue to tell people the seat(s) are taken. We had 8 in our group and we did obtain really great seats. I will say that even at 6:00-6:30 it wasn't packed yet and you still had a lot of options. If you sit upstairs in the balcony, please note that when you go to use the restroom for the women, you will be going upstairs to use that from where you're sitting. The snack bar upstairs has the most limited options. You get more at a kids snack bar at a park. You will plan for a lot of walking because to obtain a pretzel you must go downstairs. Water wasn't cold nor the Gatorade the cost is 5.50 each. Nachos downstairs and within a hour sold out. This show was sold out. People downstairs who paid the extra money I could over hear say they had no idea they would be standing the entire time. So many little kids could not see. The staff was pleasant. However when you go upstairs to go to the balcony, you have something on your actual ticket but the room numbers are like 201 etc. etc. but nobody knows where to tell you to go. They did not say it's open seating just go sit down, so don't go walking all the way to the other end. Thankfully, another attendee was walking the other way, and let us know before we walked all the way around. I would go again with my husband planning to go early and next time make sure the group knows we have to go super early and I know now not to buy my mom a ticket because she won't be able to get up to the balcony. If you're in pain, have a hard time walking you will be going up steep stairs to go upstairs and also for the restroom please keep that in mind If you have a little kids and it's a popular concert, they're not gonna have very much room to see over the people in front of them standing up so keep that in mind as well. Getting out we left early. Received a $80 parking ticket for parking meter that wasn't working pretty upsetting because that's a lot of money. I would rate a 2.5

It made the show feel even more immersive and special, especially during those moments when the cast comes through the audience. The venue itself is beautiful and easy to navigate. From entering the building to finding my seat, everything felt organized and smooth. The seating was comfortable, the sightlines were great, and the sound quality was excellent, which really matters for a production like this. As for The Lion King, it was amazing. The costumes, music, and staging were stunning, and seeing it live after wanting to for so long made it even more meaningful. Overall, such a great first experience at this venue. Being a huge fan of musicals and theatre, this venue takes it to a whole 'nutha level IMO. I mean, I've NEVER been to a venue where you almost feel immersed in the performance, with the actors performing IN THE AISLES!!! Like, where else does that happen?!! Cuz I certainly don't know. Not only that, but this venue is so intimate with no bad seat in the house. Seriously!!! I'm constantly amazed at each production, how they curate the stage and change scenery...the costumes and of course, the incredible talent!! I walk away astounded every time. And from that last statement you can tell, I've attended many shows at Music Circus. I've always loved the circus in general, but what made me fall in love with Music Circus was my very first experience almost a decade ago with the show 'Beauty and the Beast'! OMG, I couldn't believe what I saw, especially the costumes!! Being a Disney fan, this has always remained a core Music Circus memory for me, kinda like "You never forget your first"! (Am I right?!? LOL) After that, I attended a show here & there. But in recent years, I've tried to make it a point to attend at least one show a season, feeling fortunate enough in these last 2-3 years to be able to attend more than 1 show in a season. Mostly with the 'help' of a coworker treating me to a show because SHE is a season ticket member and donor! Nice perks come with that, including special VIP seating area pre-show & during intermission serving complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and has several comfy couch outdoor patio seating to lounge in. They also have a private bathroom which might be the biggest perk! lol Last year's lineup (Summer 2024) I could've went to EVERY SINGLE SHOW of the entire season, again if I could afford such things. But THIS year, 2025, I was absolutely THRILLED to see TWO of my all time favorite movie/films come to the stage ("West Side Story" & "White Christmas"), along with the exciting news of a longer season that had shows going into winter!!! Typically in all the years past, Music Circus only occurred during the summer months. In fact, waaaaay back in the day, before my time of attending shows, this venue was really like a circus tent! My oldest sister & dad have told stories of 'the days of old' and when there was NO A/C during those times. And in SacTown summers, that could/would make for some VERY hot shows that were sometime unbearable. Lucky for me, I only started coming after they remodeled to what the theatre is today (yay for A/C!!). Anyways, when I bought my show tickets early in the year, I asked the reason for the pleasant surprise of the longer season. I was told that in the past, the local Sacramento Theater Company would use the venue during 'the off-season', but that they ended up shutting down after never really recovering from COVID. While that was sad news to hear of, I was glad to see MC would have more shows 'all year long' instead. Makes sense to utilize the venue and not have it going unused and idle. That's just not wise and bad business! So, with that, I hope these longer seasons will become a permanent thing and allow more experiences to enjoy!!! For anyone who enjoys theatre, Music Circus is EXACTLY where to go. I've even started inviting friends who don't typically do theatre to come and experience the magic of this unique venue. They never really are disappointed and I don't see how I ever could be either. If you've not been, what are you waiting for? Season schedules typically come out a couple times a year, but just sign up for their emails and you'll never miss it when they come out. What are you waiting for??? GO!!! And maybe I'll see you at a show sometime soon! You can thank me then. *wink, wink*

It's a great play, to set off the holiday season. I was surprised to find the only actual Christmas song is White Christmas, because the play is about two servicemen, Army buddies, who develop a song and dance act during World War II, to entertain their battle-weary fellow GI's, and the find success as a top-billed professional duo. It's a really cute play, and my absolute favorite character was little Susan Wavery, the General's granddaughter, who was not even the focus of the play. I loved her, and wanted to see more of her. No photos of the play allowed, of course. There was a Photo Booth inside the gates, before entering the building, with complimentary photos staff took from your own cell phones. There were concessions inside, for popcorn, candy and drinks.
