1st time here. I've read all the reviews & told myself to try out the sandwiches. I ordered two small subs. I had the steak n cheese with mushrooms onions & peppers. It was very good. The other sub was a small meatball. I'm impressed with this variety store. I've probably driven by the place a thousand times never going in. Place is good for subs, wraps, sandwiches, etc. They have some meals and a steak and cheese sub. All are above average for the area. A small grilled chicken caesar wrap, chips and water is $14. A little steep, but it's good. This is a must-stop before the beach or on your way. read more

Stopped in on our way home from Ferry State Park. It was about 80 degrees inside (but cooler outside) which made us kind of regret our decision to get our pizzas, hot sub, and chicken tenders not to go. But, we stuck it out. I wonder if they run AC ever? Just wasn't what we wanted to come into after hiking trails. Anyways-I still had to give them a five-star. Why? The food was hot, generously portioned, and out FAST. The prices were great-$5.99 for a 12' pizza? Can't beat that, and it was scrumptious! The staff was very friendly-had a great beer selection to bring home too! P.S.-Upon leaving, we realized there was outdoor seating too! Definitely will stop in again if/when passing through Saco. read more

Stumbled upon this little variety store several years ago on the way home from Ferry Beach State Park. We picked up a pizza and was surprised by how inexpensive and delicious it was. Since then, it has been our go to for pizza! Recently, I tried a bite of my daughter's steak sub from Saco Bay Variety and she is lucky she got it back. It is so good! Something about the onions! I haven't tried the breakfast items but breakfast time seems to be pretty popular. The owner, Sonny, and the staff are super nice. I highly recommend giving this little store a try. When I arrived he insisted I ordered a Turkey Italian and my name was Karen. I told him my name was not Karen and didn't order that.
