Freshly made sandwiches which were out of this world good. Only $10 got you a generously proportioned sandwich, which was more than filling, the choice of soup or a bowl of a variety of sides, and a cookie. Great choices for meat lovers or vegans. Service was friendly and prompt. Highly recommend for people looking for a local place with delicious food. All of our boxes were checked and we left satisfied. Excellent sandwiches and salads. The steaks and beef look amazing under the butcher counter and there is a great selection of jams and other unique items. The staff is super friendly and the dining area is cozy. I only wish I was doing more than driving through Sheridan so I could have tried the roast beef. read more

Sackett's is a small specialty grocery and deli with a few tables to enjoy some freshly made deli sandwiches and salads. They also support local ranchers and farmers. You can buy chicken, beef, and pork all raised in Sheridan County or nearby, Isn't that great! I like to also get some of their higher end grocery items which can include imported cheeses, jams, fish, or wild caught shrimp. Our Thanksgiving turkey (organic, natural) is the item prompting this review. It was simply the best turkey we have ever had. My husband could even tell the difference in both texture and taste from the standard grocery store turkey. This turkey had real flavor and the meat was not mushy like so many birds I've tasted in recent years. I don't usually like the breast meat but it was juicy and had real flavor. I hesitated in purchasing it because it was so expensive, but lets remember turkeys are a loss liter at chain grocery stores. If you are tired of the poor quality items at the larger grocery stores try Sackett's. I'm holding out on the 5th star because most of the time to complete a recipe I still have to go to the big store, but they are carrying more and more items all the time. read more

on a roadtrip to montana, we walked in just after 4 pm, they stop making sandwiches at 4 pm, asked if they had anything already made but nope. about to leave, the lady said she would make us a sandwich. holy crap they were delicious, seriously amazing and delicious. and the kale quinoa salad was pretty damn excellent as well. not only were they super nice and not only great customer service, the food was excellent. can't recommend them enough. if i'm ever driving through Sheridan again, i will most definitely stop here, and i'll make sure i come in before 4. thank you ladies. you are great. read more

While looking for a sandwich shop on the road, we chose to stop in at Sackett's thanks in part to the previous Yelp reviews, and it was locally owned! We were so happy with our experience. Kind service, and yummy sandwiches, our group had the Italian Sub, Pressed Cuban, and Roast Beef and Colby Jack sandwiches. They were all made with wonderfully fresh ingredients. Then, we took some delicious okra chips to go, and are looking forward to trying their rainbow popcorn, strawberry rhubarb jam, blue cheese stuffed olives, and vanilla peaches; there was much more we would have enjoyed taking with us! read more
