I get X-Rays still nobody comes to say hey we waiting or the dr is coming, so I waited another 29 minutes and walked out. All the nurses and doctors were laughing and talking in the hallway as I walked out. Then 10 minutes later I get a phone call to ask is everything ok, absolutely not i have waisted over an hour of time and hours from work to come to this dump. She says the dr was coming in, no ma'am he/she was not they were standing in the hallway at the desk laughing and talking. He could've called my name and said something but they didn't. The chick that called me ask do I want to reschedule absolutely the F not!! I was not told I would have to wear a boot for 4-6 weeks post procedure before the procedure even though I called the office multiple times asking what the post op would be. Not only that but my entire foot is on fire with pain now and they can do nothing for me. I have been using so much Anti-inflammatories and Tylenol it has actually raised my AST blood level as the meds can be hard on the liver and kidney. I'm just devastated and still have to work on it full time. I was not offered a Surgical boot at any time, pre or post op or given any reference to which one I would need until 2 months post procedure. I am just living in pain plus the office refuses to call in any pain medicine as I try to figure out what my next step will be. I tried my hardest and called so many many times before to keep this from happening. I was given the wrong advice by staff as well as Medical Assistants. I was even told by one MA I talked to I didn't need the boot. I NEVER would have done the prp had I known I had to be in a boot 4-6 weeks post Procedure before procedure and I'm so sure I wasn't told I would bet my kids lives on it!

Didn't properly manage expectations before the surgery…read more I met the doctor twice before the surgery and was explicitly clear about how I am physically active, train dialy, how function is my number one priority. Had this surgery been sold to me as pain management for older folks where function will be sacrificed, I would have not had my shoulder replaced. I now have a "bum" shoulder that does not work right. Activities I have engaged in all my life are no longer possible. When I noticed something wasn't right about 3 months after surgery the doctor replied with answers like "I think it looks better that way," or "I'm concerned how it looks, how's the pain?" Then when I pushed the doctor to fix this ugly mess, he cuts his losses and doesn't want to deal with it anymore. The results are ugly. I have a deep 1 inch indent/gash compared to my other shoulder and it's visible under cloths. If you carry extra muscle it will be far more noticeable. Note to the doctor: please don't include me in your 97% success rate. This guy doctors up his Google ratings. Don't be fooled into thinking he gets no negative reviews. I have 3 other orthopedic surgeons, a cat scan, 2 ultra sounds, and all say the same thing independently, this isn't right. Fortunately, I found a doctor to fix his mess.

I called their billing department and the person I spoke to confirmed this. They said they could either request a check or that the credit could be applied to a future visit. I chose the latter since I had a follow-up scheduled. I went to my follow-up appointment today and the front desk told me I owed $113.16. I asked if that included a credit and the girl at the front desk told me there wasn't a credit. I explained the situation multiple times, showing her the EOB summary and the credit card charge from my phone. After some back and forth, she and another girl said that I had to pay the full $113 or reschedule and they would not honor the credit, saying that their "higher-ups" had told them this. I called the billing department later and spoke to the same person as before, who told me that they should have honored this credit. I should not have had to pay more than what I owed. I will for my insurance to process the claim for today's visit and will call the billing department afterwards to discuss how to move forward, being that I don't have any more visits, but this could have been avoided if they had just honored the credit.

I also have severe shearing in my lumbar and BPPvertigo. I have refused all surgery due to the extensive hardware and possible complications, especially with the thorasic. Since I have been with Dr. Syed, about 3 years now, I have had multiple injections for trigger points and blocks ALL with a high success rate. My gait, which had been off for 29 years due to pain, is becoming normal. I can place my foot with toes forward to walk. I have not had a bad thoracic lock up in quite some time due to medications provided and changing my mechanics on how I move my upper body,along with stretches, all suggestions by Dr. Syed and his PA's. They are great about answering all of my crazy questions, great bedside manner, they do listen and they do care. The PA's Veronica, Devon and Anthony are all so knowledgeable, patient and kind. It has to be difficult with every person who comes in is complaining due to pain. They are angels. I am located in Frisco and the procedures are done there at the location so you are familiar with your surroundings and comfortable. I have a needle phobia and Marcus the anesthesiologist is phenomenal in helping me stay calm. I trust this team to take care of me in my stressful state. I am a long term care patient and see myself staying here for the life of my chronic pain care. Less than 2 months ago, my wife suddenly died and they seemed like they cared BUT after I had to reschedule my appt last week until this week, without ANY WARNING or even simply telling me over the phone, I show up this morning for my normal follow up for my refills and I was told that if I cannot pay the FULL CASH PRICE, they will NOT SEE ME AS A PATIENT ANY LONGER. Their statement that THEY CARE more about the patient than the money is SIMPLY NOT TRUE. A pain management patient for over 20+ years going back to my previous pain management Dr (Dr Neleson) and NOW becuase i cannot pay the full cash price after losing my my of 35+ years and also having to pay for my daughters NEUROLOGY appts and her seizure meds, I'm simply out of LUCK because the PAIN TREATMENT INSTITUTE is so caring as they say they are.
