And the disorganization runs rampant. Not only was she unprofessional to not return my phone calls or emails, she had the nerve to tell me that "other cases are more important than yours." Then she showed up in court with half-baked motions, and then had me forge documents because she hadn't prepared in time for the trial. I withheld final payment to her and she was pissed. I said there is no way she worked as many hours she billed me for to only show up unprepared for court. If she had worked half as hard on my case as she has in pursuing the final payment, maybe I wouldn't have lost my house and kids. Her character is going to be a part of the book I'm writing. I won't say she's the worst lawyer, but there is no law against being a bad lawyer.
