I just want to say that I couldn't be happier with Ilir Orana and his team at Clear Access Law for successfully helping me gain admittance to Canada with a criminal conviction. I reached out to them through their website and received a call back from a gentleman named Ben within 24 hrs. I was asked what they could do for me and what the nature of my problem was. Basically, I had several individual drug offenses (Felony convictions) from one regrettable time during the mid 1980's. Not only did I have convictions, but I was also sentenced to incarceration for 46 months. I found Ilir Orana and his team at Clear Access Law via a search online, and reading these reviews to obtain access to Canada back in to Canada. I applied for permanent access, which takes almost a year to obtain, while at the same time requested a temporary entrance permit to cover me sonner. Throughout the process, the team at Clear Access Law was extremely thorough and professional, while always being sensitive to my situation. Today I received TRP, and all of the information needed and actually filing took place through Clear Access Law! As I am married to a Canadian citizen, visiting Canada was very important to my wife. I received a DUI which was reduced to a driving while impaired in NYS. I refused the breathalyzer which in all honestly i probably would have passed but that is a different discussion. As a result I was barred from entering Canada. I had no idea what i was in for. Canada, right or wrong consider this a serious crime. I was barred from Canada for almost 7 years. It took almost 1 year to settle the case. That is when the clock started ticking. I had to wait 5 years from the case be settled before I could apply for criminal rehabilitation. It took Canadian Immigration almost 12 months to review my case. Having said all that Clear Access Law helped me through the process. As much as i would have liked regular updates, there isn't much information flow occurring. Once they help you prepare your application, they submit it, and Canadian immigration responds to them that it was received and don't call us for 12 months because we are inundated. I hired Clear Access for a TRP a couple years ago, and more recently Canadian Rehabilitation. Working with the firm was excellent, and I must say the applications are a lot more extensive than I would have guessed. I realize Canada considers a DUI to be a felony, but I still never expected the paperwork to be so detailed.
