Her pricing is competitive in comparison to the other quotes I received. What I like about Liz is that she is very prompt in her responses and is very professional. We often hear horror stories about businesses where they take your deposit and no-show to your event, but rest assured Liz is NOT that kind of person. She shared with me she would not do something that would ruin her reputation -- as the income from her business helps her family, and I appreciate her hustle. There was a review here that indicated Liz and her staff were rude...and to be honest, I NEVER found Liz and the girl helping her to be rude - they were very kind and helpful to me, my husband, and to my guests. On the day of my event (which was for 60 people), Liz and the gal that was with her did not disappoint. She showed up early to set up and cook the food, and she was ready right on the dot at the time I requested when I needed the food served. We had the 3 taco meats - carne asada, chicken and al pastor, I chose horchata for the drink, and she also made quesadillas. The meats were tender and very flavorful. Many of my guests went for seconds or thirds and many shared the tacos were very tasty. The horchata was great - it wasn't gritty at all (like some restaurants), it was very fresh. Liz communicated very well during the event and let us know as well when she was almost done serving. We even had leftovers which our family and friends took home, including myself. I even took home the leftover horchata and it still tasted great and stayed fresh for days. If you need a dependable person that serves excellent food, Liz is your girl to contact. Thank you Liz for helping make my birthday enjoyable for myself and the guests by providing such excellent food!

This is not your run-of-the-mill, overly processed, quick eat. The chicken and seafood is cooked to order and is honestly quite delicious. I liked the sweetness of the candy yams without being drenched in sugar. I also liked how the yams were well formed rather than mashed up like baby food. The mac & cheese was the most unique. I've tasted in years. It's mixed with herbs. Service at the front counter was polite. The young lady took her time to go through all of the options and to verify that the order was correct again. This is not fast food, and it took about 20 minutes for me to get my order, however, that was long enough for me to get my kids food from other places in the food court, soul food is known to be generous and they did not let me down however, two tiny little packets of hot sauce was not going to get it done. I hate to admit being "that" girl, but I actually had a little bottle of Louisiana hot sauce in my purse because I knew I was coming here. The food is top notch, but I can't get over the fact that I paid over $30 for one plate of food and I'm sitting in the middle of a food court with no table service. This makes it probably the most expensive soul food in the area. Pro-tip: Be aware of your upcharges, combos, come with very specific side dishes, and the two meat combo does not include all of the meats. Some meats/fish are an up charge.

The food was really worth the trip. A small foodcourt spot with a limited menu of fried fish, shrimp, chicken wings (all drumettes), shrimp n grits and a variety of sides (the usual suspects) greens, sweet potatoes, smothered potatoes. My dessert was just red Koolaid and it hit the spot. My shrimp and grits were rich and spicy. The grits were buttery and cheesy with just enough spice. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and large and plentiful. I only gave it 4 stars because I root for them to get a larger kitchen so she can truly spread her wings. When we arrived, the welcome in was short lived, a handshake and move along. Okay, no problem, let's get right to it, however, that set the theme for the entire tour. Granted there was not much to tour as it is a quaint space, the details to help bring the space to life felt left out. We were told prices for add-ons and what can be added on. But that was that. No examples provided to paint the picture for us which we would like to see if we're going to commit thousands of dollars to renting the space. Additionally, when we inquired about a list of preferred vendors, pamphlets or brochures. We were told we'd be sent a list for us to check out, only for that list to never arrive despite being told we'd get that sent over immediately AND a follow up from us to her work phone directly (to which she claimed would be the best place to receive a response I will say, I can appreciate the fact that since it is a shared space, tailors, barbers, makeup artists, etc. can all be found in the building which makes it a convenient one stop shop for those things. Overall, our experience was rushed and we honestly felt like a nuisance. If our late arrival was an issue, a reschedule for the tour could have been made. Hindsight 20/20 I suppose. We went elsewhere.
