I was warmly greeted and asked to sit down. I was taken back by how there were no people in the restaurant. When I sat down it was just myself and another gentleman. The waiter asked if I needed anything to ask and he handed me a menu. I quickly flipped through and went straight to the menú del día that I had been looking at for months. They had a variety of appetizers and entrees. I decided on the chicken and corn soup to start, the three delicious rice for my first entree, and for my third the chicken with vegetables. To drink I had a glass of their rosé wine, which was the right balance of sweet and dry and complemented the food very well. The chicken and corn soup came pipping hot, so after three attempts I decided to let it sit for a while. After decided that my second and third entrees came and I dug in. The rice had a nice flavor and mix of chicken, soft white rice, and vegetables. The chicken with vegetables came with peppers, onions, and carrots. I was expecting broccoli and other vegetables, but it was still pretty good with the vegetables it had. I asked for a container to go and the waiter nicely and quickly brought me one. For dessert I had a scoop of vanilla ice cream, which was great! I definitely will be coming back here for another meal, particularly their beef and broccoli. Their menú del día is such a greag buy as you get so much for just 7.45 and for a euro more you can get their upgraded menú. Do not miss this spot on the way to gran vía!
