Food comes out quick and it's piping hot as many entrees are served in heated iron bowls so sauces are still boiling at table. So grateful for this find as I just came off an airplane after 15 hrs and I just wanted an easy but tasty meal. It's just a few feet off the main promenade with theaters abound. Loved the fresh assorted mushrooms with our tofu entree and the dim sum selections were all spectacular. Staff spoke an assortment of languages so we felt very welcomed. Stumbled upon this fairly new place while looking for lunch. It just off Grand Via. Had been eating Spanish food all week, so wanted something different. I knew of this little pocket of Asian restaurants in this area from my trip here last yr, so walked over after visiting Museo Corrallo I was happy to find this place. It only had Chinese customers inside, and roast pork and duck hanging in the window, so good signs. I ordered haw-gao, XLBs, and rice noodle roll with beef. The haw-gao (shrimp pot stickers) were decent. The XLBs were disappointing, as 1/2 of them were broken open already and the soup spilled out. The rice roll with beef was very bland. The poured what looked like the usual sweet soy sauce on top, except that it was very watered down and did nothing for the dish. I ate everything since I was hungry, but would not order these again. The guy next to me order a combo plate of sliced pork and duck, vegy and rice, that looked very good. I must have overlooked that on the menu. If this was my home town of Seattle, I would give them 2 star, but since in Spain, and probably hard to find proper ingredients and Chinese chefs, I will give them 3. read more

As a Canadian with a strong Chinese heritage, it was hard to find a place with good Chinese food in Madrid...thankfully HK Kitchen exists. Right when you walk in, you could tell it was an authentic HK style cafe, there were BBQ meats hanging on the roasting rack, Chinese music playing in the background and the menu had a wide variety of foods. From dimsum to noodle soup to traditional dinner dishes, I was very satisfied. I had the 2 kinds of BBQ meats with noodle soup as well as the shredded chicken fried noodles. Noodle soup was very tasty (9/10). The soup broth was traditional wonton soup and reminded me of home. Not to mention the BBQ meats were very well roasted and had tremendous flavor. Fried noodles were just ok (7/10). The noodles were a bit undercooked and were not the normal type of noodle you would find. Food was pretty good for the price. Ordered noodles with wonton and beef. The wonton did not have shrimp, or if it did then certainly I didnt taste any. The fried rice was good though could have used a little more egg. The vegetable dish was by far the best. read more

This was a great break from the variety of "fried" that we'd been eating. Fresh vegetables, delicious filling in the bao, and good service.

Being someone from Shenzhen (the city next to Hong Kong) and very experienced with Hong Kong tea houses/restaurants, this one fails considerably. The cooks don't know how to prepare tripes and fishballs properly, the noodle soups is wrong, they don't use enough coriander leaves, the soya sauce and the amount is not right. And they have a whole wall of silhouette of Pudong, Shanghai with tons of Mandarin pop songs. But they have a genuine Hong Kong tea house menu (just the menu, not necessarily the taste) and the price is fair. For these I gave two stars. But you would not have the genuine and proper Cantonese/HK cuisine. read more
