Dining room view from 2nd floor balcony

Great service. Reasonable prices. The 2nd floor is less desirable because of the heat and smoke.

Stumbled upon this fairly new place while looking for lunch. It just off Grand Via. Had been eating Spanish food all week, so wanted something different. I knew of this little pocket of Asian restaurants in this area from my trip here last yr, so walked over after visiting Museo Corrallo I was happy to find this place. It only had Chinese customers inside, and roast pork and duck hanging in the window, so good signs. I ordered haw-gao, XLBs, and rice noodle roll with beef. The haw-gao (shrimp pot stickers) were decent. The XLBs were disappointing, as 1/2 of them were broken open already and the soup spilled out. The rice roll with beef was very bland. The poured what looked like the usual sweet soy sauce on top, except that it was very watered down and did nothing for the dish. I ate everything since I was hungry, but would not order these again. The guy next to me order a combo plate of sliced pork and duck, vegy and rice, that looked very good. I must have overlooked that on the menu. If this was my home town of Seattle, I would give them 2 star, but since in Spain, and probably hard to find proper ingredients and Chinese chefs, I will give them 3.

2 kinds of BBQ meat in noodle soup

As a Canadian with a strong Chinese heritage, it was hard to find a place with good Chinese food in Madrid...thankfully HK Kitchen exists. Right when you walk in, you could tell it was an authentic HK style cafe, there were BBQ meats hanging on the roasting rack, Chinese music playing in the background and the menu had a wide variety of foods. From dimsum to noodle soup to traditional dinner dishes, I was very satisfied. I had the 2 kinds of BBQ meats with noodle soup as well as the shredded chicken fried noodles. Noodle soup was very tasty (9/10). The soup broth was traditional wonton soup and reminded me of home. Not to mention the BBQ meats were very well roasted and had tremendous flavor. Fried noodles were just ok (7/10). The noodles were a bit undercooked and were not the normal type of noodle you would find. Otherwise, both dishes were tasty and I would definitely recommend!

Only that leftover. Everything else is good

Service is great. Food. Is competitive to Hong Kong. I recommend this place You like Hong Kong style? Come

This was a great break from the variety of "fried" that we'd been eating. Fresh vegetables, delicious filling in the bao, and good service.

If I were you, I will try to visit with a group of friends, preferably of an even number. Why is that? because of the concept of the place. The idea is to share a meal in a group setting. You have a couple of boiling bowls heated by electric burners that are split into an spicy and regular broth. The broth is very simple and they serve all the ingredients on the side for you to cook in the boiling bowl as you please. Do keep in mind that some things take between 3-5 minutes to cook and be ready, so make sure to ask and place these on the boiling broth before the others. the beef just takes some seconds and the noodles take little time as well. The shrimp and brine and meatballs as well as the dumplings are some of the things that you might want to wait a while. I added some pictures of the stew and the boiling broth so you get an idea. They have a peanut sauce, if you're not allergic, it's the best thing that you can have in this place. I almost licked the bowl where the peanut sauce came from and asked for seconds. They also have a tea that's very popular in the Mongolia/China area of the world, that's really good. It's their version of southern sweet tea but not quite as sweet, though it's very tasty. Im adding a picture of the tea for your reference. We were a group of 6 people and the bill was around 90Euros which comes up to about 16 per person, not an expensive meal in madrid specially with drinks and an experience that you don't get in many places. If you are still not quite sure, the idea is very much like a Korean Barbeque but in a soup.

I guess it's hit or miss. Sangria was good. We got the pitcher for the table. Cold dishes- Cucumber | pepino €7.50 - The flavor was ok, but the cucumbers were too soggy for my preference. This was the worst dish of the night for us :( I really was hoping for something refreshing to kick the spiciness of everything else. Banban chicken | pollo €8,90 - This dish was ok to me. The flavor was mid, very oily. The knife technique here was impressive. Duck | pato yuxiang €13,90 - This dish was very good, very fragrant. The duck was crisped and cut so well. Fish | olla pez €29,50 - The fish was good. It came with lotus root, bean sprouts, a few cauliflower, and a shit ton of potato slices. The cucumber slices in there were so soggy, which I did not like. Wontons in chili oil | wantan picante €9,90 - The wontons were not good!! The chili oil sauce was ok, but the wontons were such a disappointment. The skin was too slimy, and there was no flavor inside the wonton. Beef noodle soup | sopa ternera €12,90 - We asked for very spicy and we got it. As soon as I inhaled, I choked. The noodles were very soft. The beef was meh. They added some pickled veggies Rice was €2,20 per person. Credit card accepted.
