Hidden gem for sure. I just went here last weekend and it was great! The Puerto Rican street tacos were excellent and had a nice little spicy kick to them. We also had the shredded beef tacos which were also very good. We shared the tostones which were okay but I'd probably skip them next time; I thought they were a bit bland. We were lucky and had excellent weather in the mid-70's. There's a fair number of outdoor tables (which were full when we arrived) however there's also so cool "bar" seating facing the river and it was absolutely wonderful to watch the boats go by as we ate our food and sipped on some beers. Helpful tip, there is some signage from the road into the parking lot, however once there it's a little more difficult to find. When facing the river, take the long ramp down on the LEFT side. There's some small signage that says "Cafe" and just keep following those signs. If I had any feedback, it would be to provide bigger and better signage from the parking lot. I'll definitely go back. What a great and fun place to have a quick bite. Give this place a try for sure!

Go to Sabor Del Rio for the excellent views and hangout space. The boat is at the end of a rarely-used pier, putting you IN the river, and offers glorious views up and down the Columbia on a nice day. For food and drink, they have beers in the cooler, and offer PR tacos and really good tostones, but not a lot else (the kitchen is TINY, you'll see). Also service can take a while, but you should be there for the views and the hangout and not in a hurry. Great place for groups in the 5-9 people size. Wear your sunscreen.

Talk about a hidden gem: right on the Columbia River. Authentic Cuban/Puerto Rican cuisine owned and operated by a father and son. The Cubano sandwich was excellent! The fries would be too if it wasn't for the light tempura-type batter that seems to be popular. Opt for the Taco Tuesday special: the tortillas weren't anything special, but the roasted pork was delicious. Some good beer options. The vibe and scenery are the draw. Clever and smart to open a restaurant on the edge of the marina. Service was excellent. They're located on Marine Dr. just east of NE 33rd. Walk down the long ramp on the east side of the parking lot. At the bottom take an immediate left, do not go straight.

Best Cubano here in Portland! The owner and family was extremely friendly and showed me their kitchen and behind the scenes The sandwich itself was tasty.. perfect melted Swiss on a light and crisp bread with ham, mustard, pickles and pork.. AND we're not even talking about the Puerto Rican food yet.. which I look forward to coming back and trying Great View! Inside the Marina Restroom clean A Solid Choice.. I recommend it

A beautiful Puerto Rican family from Miami came to Oregon and started a catering company, then opened this fabulous seasonal floating restaurant. The plantains and sauce were delicious! So was the Cubano sandwich and Puerto Rican street tacos. Besides non-alcoholic beverages, they have an array of wines, as well as canned beers & ciders. The location is fabulous for boaters but there is a large parking lot for people who have to drive. The ramp is steep, (but not grated like the one at the Island Cafe) so it is handicap assessable. And parking is free and the lot is decent sized. This Cafe is perfect for outdoor dining in the summer!

Food was really tasty and came out pretty quickly even with a small constant line. I got the plate special and maduros. There was sufficient seating which is all outdoors so plan accordingly. Dock wasn't too rough but is very exposed so if you get motion sick or there are larger ships going by could be an issue. The only negative was that the wasps were out in force but mainly kept along the north edge so the seating near the entry were better.

Good food and friendly service. It's nice being on the river . Price is a bit high for what you get imo.

What a quaint floating little food shack on the marina on the Columbia. Calling it a restaurant is a bit of a stretch, aquatic food cart would be more accurate. They've got some riverfront seating. The menu is simple & small, some rice/beans plates, maduros, tacos. I got the big plate special w red rice & beans topped with/ slow-roasted carnitas style pork. Pretty good food but not mind-blowing I like it more for the peaceful vibe. The ppl there are friendly too. Plus it's fun when a big boat passes by and the waves make the whole place bob up & down a bit.

A new restaurant at the end of the peer with amazing views of the Columbia River is the description that brought us down to this family owned cafe. But the authentic and hearty Puerto Rican food, Caribbean music and the lovely family that runs this little jewel will keep us coming back. I had the veggie burger and he had the Big Pork plate. Our fellow diners raved about the street tacos and the Cuban sandwich. Everything was delicious! I even snuck a taste of the melt-in-your mouth pork (but don't rat me out to my vegetarian friends!) Don't let rain keep you away, they have outdoor and "indoor (tarp walls with windows and heaters)" dining. And it is Oregon, after all. It's only liquid sunshine!

Amazing food, seriously some of the best food anywhere! And it's very inexpensive and it's a floating restaurant on the Columbia River! It's a little tricky to find from land and a bit of a walk from the shore, but it is so worth it, wow! Friendly people running this restaurant also! We arrived by boat and there's plenty of boat parking.

Fun, quick lunch right on the water. It was so nice to sit outside on the Columbia river enjoying the sunshine for a quick birthday lunch. The owner and staff were extremely nice and recommended several things on the menu. The menu was simple but had enough options to suit all crowds. They have a beer cooler that you can help yourself to after ordering. Fun summer vibe!

Great place for food, drinks and sunset. Owner greeted us at our boat, walked us in. Chill island vibes. Got the nachos and Quesadilla with pork and was amazing.

This place is great! Amazing food!!! The owner was so kind and welcoming and showed gratitude. Something you don't see often anymore. The ambiance is perfect right on the water and several boats were quite interested in the place too. It felt authentic and we left with happy full tummies! I can't wait to come back for our next anniversary. Although with really reasonable prices, I'll be back way sooner than that. Thanks guys and best of luck to you!!!

I tipped generously assuming the food was going to be excellent. We ordered 2 Langua tacos, asada burrito, carnitas burrito and a carnitas quesadilla. We were told that it would be about 15 minutes. The space is right on 26, so fairly noisy. There were a few tables an available. The food was ready on time and we went home. I cut the carnitas burrito in half for my daughter and found 2 large bones. My other daughter, who ordered the carnitas quesadilla, found a bone as well. The carnitas itself had good flavor but an abundance of grease was an issue. The asada was pretty good and balanced with the beans and rice. The Langua had some spice to it and was flavorful and tender. The tomatillo and spicy sauce were great. The burritos were mislabeled on there boxes (asada was carnitas and vise versa). Pretty disappointed and hope this occurrence is not the norm.

I was excited to go here as I had been meaning to visit for at least 6 months. I wasn't disappointed. This taqueria is the real deal, and very authentic. I also appreciate it's LGBTQ owned, and like to be inclusive in how I spend money. The tacos are amazing I had two there, and took two home. They were all delicious and not one disappointed. Their taco menu is very extensive, and it's nice that they have a lot of vegetarian options as well. One of my favorites was the one with mole ,and poblanos, also the chicken one, also the carnitas. Flavors so rich and satisfying. The staff is very friendly, and helpful. Extremely quick service which I love. Even though I only speak a little bit of Spanish. I tried, and they were very welcoming. They are fluent in Spanish. I knew it was an authentic taqueria when I heard a native spanish speaker speak Spanish at the counter. I don't want to leave out their drinks as they have quite a selection both alcoholic, and non alcoholic. I tried the horchata, which was amazing. I have been craving Pozole for a long time, and they had it as a special chicken with green sauce, and pork and a red sauce. Both simply amazing and a great deal. This restaurant is very reasonable, and you get quite a lot for the money. Last but not least I can't forget the ambiance which felt very authentic, and reminded me of being in a Taqueria in Mexico or Southern California. the place is decorated very thoughtful with a lot of candles, and many shrines. They also have a love of Mariah Carey and saw many photos of here in the restaurant. They have both outdoor seating and indoor seating. A lot of plants outside which all seem very happy and well cared for. I love this place, and will be going back for sure. The place is very casual which I appreciate. In this case, it really worked. We got chicken burritos. I confirm also that it is chicken breast, and it is grilled. Wow, it's crazy good chicken, so much flavor. This is as good or better than El Jefe. The burrito was large and I finished it all. I think they forgot to add in some of the things to have everything included but even with that it was still the best burrito we have had in PDX. I think it was missing cilantro, pickled onions, sour cream and maybe cheese and still it has so much flavor. Can you imagine how good it could be. We will be back. They use whole peruvian beans, that's a nice touch. Good salsa too. No Jamaica. It would be great to list the Beaverton loc on the website and list phone numbers.
