I spent a few nights drinking here, and one night having a full meal and drinks. The food was fantastic, and the drinks were well made. Their beers brewed on site were all very good and provided a nice relief to all the lagers everywhere. Prices were what I considered very affordable, like 4 euro a beer and about 10 euro a plate on average I believe. I had the Schnitzel Cordon Bleu" and as I said, it was out of this world.
The decor is very impressive as well. Sort of a rustic modern vibe to the place. You can see into the brewing room which is always fun, and the layout is very open, with a second story walkway around the rim of the room where the offices were located I assume.
Perhaps what I enjoyed most about Saarfurst Brauhaus was how kind and helpful everyone was with me and my horrible, horrible German. They were patient when I tried to actually speak German and happy to speak English when I gave up. Also, the bartender taught me the tipping customs in the area so I didn't continue to look like such an ignorant American.
Two thumbs up!! read more
