He…read moreinvests a lot of his own time into each one, not just drawing it up and "rubber stamping" it on you, but takes time to research and understand the subject matter so that it actually feels like your tattoo is as important to him as it is to you. He is a major perfectionist and in some cases will spend as much time positioning and prepping as he does actually tattooing! Once ready however, he works quickly and it never feels like he's purposely working slowly to milk the hourly rate. Another positive note is that All the artists here are quick to tell you if an idea will not work. They never force something that won't look right simply because you had the idea. "when in doubt, do without!" Overall huge fan of this place. Cleanliness is top notch, will continue to come back!

After an exhaustive search to try and get my state map filled in with the state of Indiana I…read moremanaged to find this shop. When I called I got Kent in the phone, I explained to him my situation and he told me he could squeeze me in for the day if I could get there. From the minute I showed up Kent was attentive worked with me to make sure what I wanted was perfect and had some sick ideas. This may seem normal to some people, but he was filling in a state 1 inch by 1 inch, and this dude was focused on this as if it was a brand new masterpiece (that's above and beyond in my book). Guy worked on this and absolutely made it a sick addition to my states, guy was full of great stories and just a funny dude. I couldn't recommend this shop or Kent more. Check out his Instagram @kgtattoos_13 because he does absolutely sick work. I can't wait to come back here and get him to do some other work on me, where he has a little more freedom.

Tony MELTED absolutely killed it!…read more I've now trusted Tony with two tattoos, and I seriously cannot recommend him enough. He breathed life and ink back into my butterfly tattoo, transforming an older piece into something beautiful again and making it the perfect first part of a memorial half sleeve that means so much to me. Then came my newest celestial tattoo -- a design I created myself and was really excited about. Tony took my vision and absolutely nailed it. The detail, linework, placement, and execution came together better than I could have imagined. Beyond being an incredibly talented artist, Tony makes the whole experience comfortable and chill. No awkwardness, no stress -- just good conversation, good vibes, and a great artist doing what he does best. If you're looking for someone you can trust with your skin and your vision, go see Tony MELTED at Cry Babies Tattoo in St. John. I highly recommend him to literally anyone and everyone. I already know this won't be my last tattoo with him!

I've lived around the area and have gone with others for pieces before Daniel and his wife took over the shop. I like the changes they've made to the place. The shop is easy to get ahold of, you can call, DM them on Instagram, or I think even message them on Facebook. I've called and messaged them on Instagram and the response time for their reply is usually within an hour or two at most. Everyone there is easy to talk to and relaxed. The shop is a clean and calm environment. Daniel is a hilarious human being and will make sure you're confident with the piece before he starts. All of the art on the walls shows off the incredible talent of the team. If you're looking for a piece, check this place out!
