We have traveled to the Sanctuary little before New Year's and you should definitely use an AWD…read morevehicle during winter time because you may have a little trouble coming all the way up. The best time to book your visit is around 1 pm because that's when the Llamas are the most active but be aware if you're planning your visit during winter time if the temperature is below 15 degrees the Llamas will put themselves into a "survival" mode and they won't be walking around and will be mostly laying in their stables. This place is being taken care of by two amazing people - Lynne and David and they definitely put a lot of dedication and hard work to make the Sanctuary the best place for all the llamas and alpacas they needs to be taken care of. Right now 44 llamas and alpacas live there and you will see for yourself that those animals can have unique personalities. We definitely fell in love with a white llama named Paul. He loves to smell your breath and sniff very close to your face but don't be scared he won't spit at you! Paul also loves showing you around the Sanctuary and if you have a beard he will loves sniffing you even more! You have to book your visit ahead of time because Lynne and David are very busy maintaining the whole Sanctuary on their own. There are no official tickets but visitors are expected to donate at least $15 per person. There is also a little cute llama shop where you can buy a lot of little llama themed nicknacks. We definitely recommend the visit for everyone! P.S. They are always looking for volunteers to help out around the Llama Sanctuary.

Over the last 20+ years, 3 of my dogs have gone to Creekside vets. The vets are knowledgeable,…read moreprofessional and gentle. The vet techs are so amazing and supportive. I am one of those overbearing dog moms and they understand that. The only negative thing I would say is I wish they didn't charge so much - a simple 10 minute exam or 5 minute gland squeeze has been as high as $80. And I wish their charges were consistent. Sometimes these short appointments are $35, other times $80 - confusing. My current dog had two dental surgeries a few month's apart. Two vets did the surgeries. Because of their preferences (anesthetic, blood work, medications etc.), one vet charged $580 and the other $720. Of course I would pay anything for my girl, but was just disappointed in the differences. When one of my dogs was attacked and killed by another dog, they allowed me the time in one of the rooms to hold my dog and grieve for her. It was a traumatic time for my family, and the vet techs showed us great sympathy. I regret not formally thanking them for this. Overall, good, long-term people work here and they really try to understand how important the human/pet relationship is, balancing that with necessary, proper and compassionate care of animals.
