Got a good price quotation from SOS to move my non-op car from the street into my driveway. Told him it's a front wheel drive and I LOST THE KEY and I didn't want the transmission damaged by dragging the front wheels on the ground. (When a front wheel drive car has transmission in PARK, dragging the front wheels on the ground can break the pawl that locks the transmission.) When he gets here, he hooks the chain to the car and starts winching it to his trailer, with the front tires leaving skid marks on the pavement. I complained, and he said that once the wheels got onto the trailer metal it's smooth. Well, a lot of good that does while the wheels are on the pavement now and when it gets into the driveway! He then tells me that's all he can do and unhooks the car. I know better. There are wheel dollies that he could put under the front wheels so that the wheels don't drag on the pavement and risk breaking the transmission pawl (an expensive repair). His bad. Otherwise, I would have had no complaint with his service. read more

His towing truck is a flat bed truck in excellent condition, very safe for the disabled vehicle compared with the other type towing truck. Ted is super nice and very professional. Today I called 209-298-9493 at 1:15pm In need of help the man who answered the phone, quoted a price of 45 dollars, when I mentioned the ad in craiglist for 40 he told me I was wrong and that it was $45 period and an 45 min wait as well. He then became very rude, I told him that he was being rude with his tone, and to have Bless Day and I said bye. The man then texted back my sisters phone at 1:22pm and said" Ha Ha I bet your Black" I have the messages to prove it. I will be forwarding them to police and local paper and media. I had a very great experience with sos towing. It was the first time I had to get my car towed, and after calling around to different places, this was the cheapest - only $45 while others were 60 or 65. Came in about an hour (a little before 10am), which was pretty much what they told me, and upon request gave me a ride to the auto shop we were going to. It IS cash only - he asked if I needed to get to a bank (wow) but good thing I had cash on me. After finding out it would be a few hours at the shop, I asked if I could get a ride back home and he didn't hesitate to say yes! I was very thankful - being a girl who knows nothing about cars and has never had to deal with car problems, and being in stockton, this was the perfect experience and service that I needed.
