I got into a bad car accident on July 30 and I was apprehensive about going to a new chiropractor since I just moved here. My boyfriend insisted I get checked out from the accident. Dr. Choi and the other two doctors on his staff are very professional and knowledgeable! They gave me the right treatment for my body while I was healing from a slip and fall accident that caused 10 disc to bulge in my back. The masseuses are always consistent and really easy to talk to. I got into an accident back in February 2016 and started treatment for my back for a few months. To start off, his staff are so nice! There are times where I would miss my appointment but they were so happy to have it rescheduled for me. The office is cleaned and organized too. Dr.Choi is a true professional! Lisa at the desk is friendly. She sometimes call to remind you of an appointment or if you're not there at your appointment time. Dr.Choi loves to chitchat with you. Just make sure he doesn't take up your massaging time. If I recall back to the time I was working with this doc, I felt so pressured and almost forced into taking the shot to increase the hospital bill when I clearly didn't think I needed the shot. Reading the other review that someone else wrote kinda seemed the same feeling I got about the money situation. Dr.Koop is very energetic and always happy. For massages: Really depends on who massages you. One girl only uses one hand and that doesn't feel very nice.. I refuse to get massages from her. I've been searching for a good chiropractor to help me relieve my neck and shoulder pain, so when my co-worker recommended Dr. Choi, I decided to give him a try. She mentioned that his office offers message therapy which worked out well because I was looking into that also. When I met Dr. choi, he asked detailed questions about the pain and why I might be having the pain. He inquired about incidents in my history that may have contributed to it, such as car accidents that I've had in the past. He didn't want to start adjusting right away like some chiropractors might have done. We talked for a long time and he was happy to explain what is happening with my neck and shoulders and he told me his recommendations. After examining me, he said I don't need a lot of adjustments done on my body. Instead, he showed me some weight bearing exercises that I should do to increase my upper back strength which will help the pain. He also said I would benefit from professional message therapy sessions to release tension. I felt he was very honest with me and I was pleasantly surprised when he didn't say I needed to come 3 times a week for treatments. He said to follow his recommendations and see how I feel and we'll go from there. He is not interested in making a lot of money by giving unnecessary treatments. He genuinely wants to help make his patients healthier and feel better by educating them on proper care of their bodies. My visit also included a message and I loved it! this was the first time I've ever received a message and I can't believe what I've been missing! It was so relaxing, I could have fallen asleep. I had no idea what to expect, I had never been in a serious accident!! I had an accident with a semi truck and trailer that ran into my jeep while making a right hand turn. I didn't realize that I could get hurt from such a simple accident. Dr. Choi examined me for some lower back pain after the accident and found that I had also done some damage to my shoulder, it was bothering me but I hadn't put it together with the accident. It makes sense now. Dr. Choi was so professional and knowledgeable, he was able to diagnose and treat me in a very short time, and worked around MY schedule!! My experience with Dr. Choi was very different than other reviews are describing. I was referred to him by another doctor in the building after I was in a car accident. The first conversation I had with him he spent most of the time discussing the accident, how much money I could get, which lawyer I should attain, how we can build up the case, etc. He did minor adjustments on me, but the only beneficial treatment was the massage therapy. One time, he was out and I saw Dr. Bowen who adjusted me completely differently and let me tell you, I felt like I got a whole new spine after seeing him! The next time seeing Dr. Choi I told him what had worked for me and his response was "Well I don't adjust like that" and continued doing the same ineffective adjustments as before. Every time I saw him, the conversation about money and my lawsuit continued. He even called my attorney to discuss the case, tell him about his plan to aggressively treat me and build the case. That's not a doctor's job, his job is to treat me effectively - which he never did. He pressured me to get pain management shots because they're expensive and would add to my claim, of course he had another friend who he could refer me to. I became so uncomfortable with him that I stopped going and found a different chiro who alleviated my pain for half the price. Bottom line - Dr. Choi is out for money. If you've been in an accident he's going to use the severity of your case to add to his bill and get the best pay out. If you get referred to this office, only see one of his associates and the massage therapists if you're actually looking for relief. read more

Long over due review. I'll get straight to the point. Staff: The girls at the front desk are awesome, friendly, and professional. They took the time to get to know you and greet you by name every time you come in. Friendly reminder calls for scheduled appointment, and if you can't keep that time they will do what they can to get you in the next available slot. Therapist: I've been to Dr. Choi office for 6 months due to an auto accident. So I've been seen by most of the therapist. They are all great no question about it, just personally preference. With that said I do personally prefer Heather and do request her when available. She's very caring and seems to enjoy her work. Very insightful and give great advice to help with the treatment. We were sent to Dr. Choi for adjustments by our lawyer after we were rear ended on the 91 freeway. Dr. Choi is extremely helpful both in his knowledge of the legal process and of course his chiropractor services. It is really important to have a chiropractor that is knowledgeable in the legal process as your lawyer is unlikely to effectively communicate throughout the process. Dr. Choi and Dr. Castro also do great work with their adjustments and getting your back and neck healed. On top of all of that, the massage therapists are great and Racine and Kennedy (front office) are exceptional at what they do and very friendly.
