I get massages with Sandra and she Is amazing. She Is usually the masseuse i go to. I have been going with her for years.

Been to 3 Chiropractors over the last 25+ years. This by far the worst experience I've had. Even though I was the only patient in office at time I felt like I was being rushed in and out. Quality was lacking. The "treatment" I got was underwhelming. I'm used to the Chiropractor telling and explaining things to me, I'd expect especially on a 1st visit. Prob spent less that 3 minutes talking to me. Just had the worker slap some gel pads on my shoulder and told me to tell her when to say stop. I've had this done MANY times. There's supposed to be some info given, some explanation as to how high to go as far as how much stimulation you want or can take. My person just said, "tell me when to stop". So I won't be back here, still on the lookout for somewhere new. This place was recommend by my work, now I know why my coworkers don't go here anymore. read more

I've been going to Urteaga for about 6 weeks and have had 5 visits. It has been great so far. The front desk staff is nice and friendly. Check-in is quick, and I'm usually not waiting in the front office too long. They normally put e-stim on my pain/stiff areas first. Dr. Lorenzo has treated me on most of my visits and he is great! He explains what he's going to do and when he makes the adjustments, I can feel a big difference. I would definitely recommend them for your Chiropractic care needs. I haven't tried their massage therapist yet, but that is next on my list! read more

Postpartum mom, went for the first time to get seen for my back and knee. Everyone in the office was super friendly. Explained everything in detail and what services I would be receiving. The care by the Artesia location chiropractor doctors have been very effective thus far (3 sessions in). They provide specific treatments for your individual needs and ease you into each phase of treatment with assurance that they will alter treatment as needed rather than a one method treats all attitude. The only suggestion would be is to let you know in advance what your insurance covers. Example.... I didn't know I could be getting a covered half hour massage in addition to my chiro session until a staff member looked it up for me when I was inquiring about massages. Beware of the time scam this office uses in regards to massages. They sell you one hour massages, but in actuality, you only get 30 to 45 minutes, if the therapist has the time. I spoke with Dr. Urteaga on a few occasions regarding this matter and he told me that you don't really get a full hour massage therapy session at his practice. The one hour that I paid for includes the time you fill out liability waiver and other documents, as well as, the time spent by the therapist to prepare the room and refresh the room after your visit. If you don't have any documents to fill out after your initial visit there, then you can possibly get a whole 45-minute massage, even though you paid for an hour. Dr Urteaga noted that he can only pay the therapist for the hour she was assigned to a client and no more. Therefore she has to shorten the one hour therapy time with the client in order to get to the next client, and so forth. There office staff will not tell you that beforehand. Unfortunately, you will discover that after the fact. And if you don't leave the premises, they threaten you with police action. Just be informed and be mindful of the time you pay for. BTW, I did not have any issue with the therapist herself. She did a fine job in the little time allotted. read more
